4.0 out of 5 stars Works well
For the options this is my choice. I bought two base units and three transmitters. I live on five acres and feel safer that i know if a perimeter has been breached. I do have some redundancy because they don't allays fire off so with layers they catch it, and I'm not surprised by someone coming over. This is common with any PIR sensor no matter how much you pay for it...

3.0 out of 5 stars Won't Work With RWA-300R Base Station.

Caution - this model add on sensor (CWPIR) will not work with the RWA-300R base staion. For the RWA-300A base, you need the PIR2-300R add on sensor. (I made this mistake.)

3.0 out of 5 stars Chamberlin wireless, January 24, 2011

This is an okay sensor. You have to be closer than it states to set it off. Definately, not as good as "The Reporter" which is a wireless than I have had for over 5 years. Tyring to find more sensors that are "The Reporter", but they have evidently gone out of business. The Chamberlain Reporter is not the same thing, so don't think that it is. The Reporter is by the Reporter. Got fooled by that Chamberlain.

They allow you to know which one was breached with number of tones.

It doesn't work as advertised. I purchased the short range version and after that didn't work 700' away from my house across an open field, I purchased the long range version. It didn't work either. Specifically, the best I could get was 200 feet dependably and up to 700' very sporadically.

I couldn't get it to pair with the signal device. The sensor worked (would light up when motion was detected) but would not actuate the signal device. So, into the trash.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good for the distance..........., October 14, 2011

This product preforms exactly as claimed by the manufacturer. I have found the sensor to work at a distance of 500 ft. with a steel building in between. Another one works at a distance of 200 yards with woods in between. Addtiional sensors are easy to add and simply add a beep for each one installed. Alarm audio is definitly lower than an alarm clock but is enough to awaken you at night, however it may pose a problem if you are in another room. The cone shape sensor helps in directing the beam if tree branches or other moving objects are a problem but provide accurate detection at about 15 ft. every time.

Well I bought the receiver and the and one extra sensor,(can add up to 7 extra) works great just set the internal switches for 15 or 30 feet, then sensitive or not so sensitive, slap 4 AA batteries in it, also the receiver takes 4 AA or plug in the 12v cord, works in-case the power goes out. Can be mounted anywhere. I have one on the fence and one on the tree, great product, the Image show is almost actual size, thing is tiny its maybe 2''H and 4''L comes with a rain/sun shade, a green led light that indicates its on

Have bought these in the past. They are the only ones I have found that worked worth a darn. The newer ones seems to have overcome the "range" problem. I have one in my mailbox and one in the driveway.

I use this product to detect wild animals in our backyard, so that my children can run to the windows and watch them when the come by. I own 8 of these units. The battery life is superb and setup is a breeze. It's not overly sensitive, so I have only had one or two false alarms on a extremely storm ridden day. They are spread out at 10 yards increments roughly 200 yards from the base station. So one unit is almost 300 yards away and works just fine.
