5.0 out of 5 stars Opa! A Wonderful Introduction, July 16, 2004
This review is from: Chameleon Days (Audio CD)
This album was my introduction to Yanni. Many people may have images from the Live at the Acropolis concert which has been shown repeatedly on PBS, and may think of lush, orchestral ballads, but his earlier works were almost exclusively electronic. Here he is able to create playful, joyous melodies (as well as a couple of tender, gentle ones) that have none of the sterile feel of early electronic works. The music here is as sunny as the isles of Greece.

5.0 out of 5 stars Music that I use to remember the best times in my life., July 5, 1998
This review is from: Chameleon Days (Audio CD)
I listened to this CD many times when I was on my boat, at night. The water was calm the stars were brilliant and Yanni was the crowning touch. I can not enjoy my boat now but I can still listen to Yanni and I can relive those special times on my boat, even though I am in the middle of one of the most trying times of my life.

5.0 out of 5 stars nice work, December 2, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Chameleon Days (Audio CD)
If I am correct, the title refers to Yanni's pre-solo days in a band of the title name. The pieces are nice, piano based melodies, with strong rhythms and arrangements. If you listen to Keys to Imagination, and are familiar with his current work, this album fits nicely in-between those styles. The cut "Swept Away" received some FM radio airplay.
