5.0 out of 5 stars Gripping page turner
This is the first Mark Burnell book I had ever read and halfway through it now I am enthralled and intrigued by the Chameleons Petra and Komarov. Plus, he adds morsels of information here and there about very real things that go on in the world which are enlightening. Every page is, in itself, a delight. I look forward to his other 3 books with Stephanie as Petra Reuter.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good thriller with some pacing problems
I have read the first three books of the Stephanie Patrick series, including this one. In my opinion, this one is the least I like out of the three. The story drags too much in the middle, and it gets a little boring. Aside from that, it's a pretty good thriller. There are even some very memorable scenes.

5.0 out of 5 stars Poignant violence, July 20, 2004
This review is from: Chameleon (Mass Market Paperback)
Marvelous read! A very fresh look at an international shadow world, told in a gripping fashion. What happens when a woman enters a profession seldom chosen by a female? All the vulnerabilities of femininity must face and adapt to this cruel activity. What happens when after all the pain, torture and violence she falls in love?
An extremely well done "autobiography" of an international, extremely capable female assassin! A MUST READ of it's gendre!
