5.0 out of 5 stars Better than Assos
As an avid cyclist for many years, I've tried just about every chamois/skin cream on the market. The thinner creams (such as regular Chamois Butt'r) don't last long enough for a full day ride. The stick type lubricants like BodyGlide aren't slippery enough, and as they wear into the skin, they lose more glide, so you end up with a tacky film that's worse than using...

3.0 out of 5 stars Great chamois lube, but menthol "tingle" is not to my liking
I love the regular Butt'rChamois BUTT'r; it lubricates my skin really well and isn't greasy or uncomfortable, and lasts for hours. But it comes out of the tube like a paste and takes a little bit to work into your skin. I thought this "Eurostyle" cream formula might be easier to use.

5.0 out of 5 stars Better than Assos, March 20, 2010

As an avid cyclist for many years, I've tried just about every chamois/skin cream on the market. The thinner creams (such as regular Chamois Butt'r) don't last long enough for a full day ride. The stick type lubricants like BodyGlide aren't slippery enough, and as they wear into the skin, they lose more glide, so you end up with a tacky film that's worse than using nothing. The thicker creams, like Assos and Chamois Butt'r Eurostyle last longer, and they have great lubricating properties. Assos is very good, but I like Chamois Butt'r Eurostyle better. It lasts even longer, and it's less expensive to boot. (Beware of seemingly low priced containers of Assos, as they are usually smaller containers.)

Simply put, Chamois Butt'r Eurostyle is the best cycling skin lubricant I've found at any price, and it's price happens to be lower than it's top competition. What's not to like?

4.0 out of 5 stars Cool and comfortable, August 12, 2009

My first foray into the chamois cream market. The cream definitely helps keep you more comfortable and I little seems to go a long way. The eurostyle cream has a definite menthol type feel to it that might be too much for some users, that sensation seemed to subside after a minute or two.

The good news is that it works as well as regular Butt'r, and does go on easier and smoother. I liked it right away. But "Eurostyle" apparently means "Now with added Menthol" and when the menthol takes hold and begins to "cool" your nether regions it's...unpleasant. It doesn't hurt by any means, but it feels to me like I've got ice in my shorts, and I don't really care for that feeling. Takes about 20-30 minutes for it to fade.
I'll finish the jar, but I don't think I'll be buying it again. Too bad, because I like the formulation better than the paste.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works as advertised!, August 5, 2010

This chamois creme works as advertised. I have tried a few on the market with my previous favorite being the old white Assos formulation. However, I feel the new blue formulation Assos is not as good and and you seem to use more to get the same effect as it does not seem as dense. So I was looking for an Assos replacement and the Chamois Butt'r Eurostyle creme does the job for me. It provides all of the same protection as the Assos in a large long-lasting container at a much better price. This is the only creme I am buying from now on.

I run between 40 - 50 miles a week in very humid conditions. This product is great! Not a single thing negative to say. Chaffing is now a thing of the past. I have tried other products and they have failed - this one has not.

5.0 out of 5 stars I dig the Menthol, January 16, 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I find this to be an outstanding product to prevent or soothe chafing. It's effective on several skin irritations. I enjoy the cooling sensation of the menthol in this euro version because my body tends to run a little hot. The menthol is noticeable after application. I could certainly see how some may not like the cooling effect and thus should use the regular (non Euro-Style) version. I also prefer the tub style packaging for home use. The tubes and packs are fantastic for travel and portability but the tub allows better access and assures that you'll have no trouble being able to use every bit.

5.0 out of 5 stars This stuff is essential for long rides., January 1, 2012

This is one of those products that seem a little weird to beginning cyclists, but is essential for enjoying long rides without the discomfort of skin being rubbed raw by friction of one sort or another.

For rides in the 50-100+ mile range, just slather on liberally and you are good to go. You'll forget you have it on, but wherever your range limit is (mine tends to be up around 90+ miles), you won't have any issues from friction with your saddle. You can focus on the other stuff that hurts! (It's not really needed for short rides, but it can't hurt)

I like the menthol ingredient, but some may not. You don't feel it after a few miles.

Cleans off easily from body and clothing.

I'd give this product 6 stars if I could. Tried a few others, this is the best. This size container lasts quite a while.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good product, December 10, 2011

My husband and I do long bike rides between 25-30 miles. We tried a variety of products until we found this one. It's the best one we have used. It is very smooth to apply and helps prevents friction a great deal. It is a far smoother consistency than the one in the tube by the same mfg. The Amazon price is very reasonable. We found that by buying two from Amazon therey getting free shipping, we were getting the 2nd container almost free as compared to buying them locally. It's a great product at a great price.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not the best lubricant, November 10, 2011

This review is from: Chamois BUTT'r EUROSTYLE w/Menthol (Sports)
I have been using Vaseline for years before any lubricating products and it had done wonders keeping me from chafing. The only draw back is it is difficult to wash out and tends to contaminate other items of clothing if the shorts are not washed by them selves.

I purchase this after reading all the positive reviews just to try. After using it for 2 months of training and racing I am switching back to Vaseline for any long rides or hard rides. It just does not offer enough lubrication nor last long enough for my use. It might be good for casual rides but not for long high cadence rides.

Maybe my "area" is not very sensitive, but I didn't detect much menthol cooling from this cream. For me, this actually turned out for the best, since I prefer the non-cooling cream and only bought this b/c it was cheaper than the regular. Does the job at the right price.
