Good for very mild wetness protection, June 25, 2010
This review is from: Champion Blue Disposable Underpads (Chux), 17 x 24, Case/100 (4/25s) (Health and Beauty)
We purchased the Champion Blue Underpads for our son, who is beginning to be dry at night. There are some nights though, he sleeps so deeply he doesn't wake to get to the potty. We wanted something which would provide wetness protection for the matress, and yet be something he could throw away in the morning if it was wet, and something he could easily put on his bed himself. I also wanted something soft - made me feel better about putting it under him.
Don't expect these to do the job of plastic mattress protector, or the heavy duty pads you can wash and reuse, but for travel or something like we use them for, they're good. I'd recommend them to anyone going through the phase most kids go through as they're potty training, and still have accidents at night, but for the most part are dry. They're also good for kids who are heavy sleepers who wake once they start to urinate - as long as they don't get too wet.
I don't think they'd do the job for elderly people who don't have any bladder control at night. They're just not heavy duty enough, but could be used in addition to the plastic mattress protector, cloth and rubber wetness protection, the fitted sheet, and then the underpad.
They are good for the elderly when wearing an adult night time diaper. When used between the person wearing the diaper and the bed, it provides one extra layer of protection. Hospice used these the last few days before my mom passed on. Up until then she was able to make it to the bathroom, but in the last 3 days she needed Depends and an underpad so her bedding would remain dry. Not something we want to think about, but good to know things like that are out there when they're needed.

Many baby-related uses, August 12, 2011
This review is from: Champion Blue Disposable Underpads (Chux), 17 x 24, Case/100 (4/25s) (Health and Beauty)
I bought these a week before my due date while in a panic about postpartum recovery--I figured these would be good for protecting my couch and bed from any messiness once I got home from the hospital. Later, I was worried that I way overbought--I don't know what nightmare recovery I was picturing!--but I've since found lots of uses for these pads. They were, in fact, great for sitting on while using ice packs . . . but they've also protected the couch from baby spit-up while we got the hang of nursing. I've also them as impromptu changing mats at home (when all the changing pad covers are in the wash) and on the road (I keep some in the diaper bag and in the car). And, from what I've read, these are great to have in the house when it comes time to potty-train the little one. So these pads ended up being a great buy afterall.

If you're changing diapers, look no further., October 3, 2011
This review is from: Champion Blue Disposable Underpads (Chux), 17 x 24, Case/100 (4/25s) (Health and Beauty)
The product was exactly what I was looking for. Great for changing diapers because I'm tired of always having to rewash the cover on my diaper changing pad. Soft cotton to absorb messes and a plastic backing to prevent seepage. The packaging from the NorthShore supplier is excellent. Each package of 25 underpads is sealed in a plastic bag. Four packages are staked together in a bigger plastic bag and the entire 100-count of underpads is placed in a cardboard box for shipping.
I actually bought these through Amazon for a cheaper price ($/underpad) from a different supplier; a bad mistake ("Kendall Disposable Tendersorb Underpads, 17.5 X 24 (Case of 300)" supplied by Direct Care Store). The packaging was not up to par and arrived damaged at my doorstep. The shipping tape on the cardboard box tore open and since the underpads were not in any type of bags, some of the underpads were dirty and/or torn. I was trying to save a few bucks and it wound up costing me more in the end.
