Solid for deadlifting and safety buy concerns about j hooks moving.,

I bought this item because it was rated for heavy weight and had a tall base since I am 6'7". But the width is much smaller than I expected and the j hooks that you lift the weight off of move thus causing safety concerns the weight may slide or fall off. There are also 3" spacers between heights which I would prefer 1". On the positive side it is very sturdy and can handle a lot of weight. I have no problem putting 600 pounds on the safety spotter for doing partial deadlifts and squats. It is easy to put together and was delivered promptly. Not to mention the price was good. If I had to take it back I probably would and look for something with a wider base, 1" spacers and j hooks that fit differently.

Simple and Great,

This piece isnt bad, i think i paid 300 somthing for it which is great. Its sturdy, great color and simple (in a good way). I use it 2-3 times a week doing super squats. However i only have 2 complaints and of those arnt that bad....
1st- you have to have 2 people while assembeling because for me there were times where i couldnt get the screws into place unless i had some one holding tention on the rack. 2nd- the pull up bar is simply just a plain little bar across the top. Nothing speacial. But at the same time, id rather have that than some of the others ive seen where theres hardly a strait pole on it at all. So aslong as you tape it up, or some how make better grips then its great. Strong Points- the saftey bars are great, simple and sturdy. How i like it. - the Bar holders are a great shape, simple round petruding pipes that are angled up. - Its foot print is tinny ironicly... you'd be supprised where this thing can fit, its really overly that huge. Its tall, but if it can stand up it can go anywhere. - Price, when i bought this rack it was the cheapest i saw on Amazon. I use this piece basicly every other day, its simple and it gets the job done. If its the cheapest you find i would get it, although ive recently seen some other Racks that look better than mine for around this cost.... So if you get this one you wont be diapointed for the money but there is better ones for around the same cost now. Overall... i give it... 4.5 outa 5 |
