Not The Champion Real Estate Book,
By
This review is from: The Champion Real Estate Agent: Get to the Top of Your Game and Knock Sales Out of the Park (Paperback)
I bought this book because it had great reviews on Amazon. I really don't think it's a good book and here's why:
I'm a new agent, and was looking for something to give me sharp ideas on how to win prospects and give good presentations. The book has all the right ideas, but none of the techniques are really laid out very well... I felt almost as though Zeller was keeping the information from the reader as he didn't want to share it. He'll talk about cold calling to generate business, but no scripts, ideas or suggestions of how to overcome the Don't Call or ideas about targeted cold calling. He'll just reference methods and whether he thinks they are effective or not. Much of the material is the same as the Idiots Guide, which I thought was better. Champion focuses more on the life style you can have (I've lost count of references to his 3 day weekend retreats which is unrealistic if you believe in the value of open houses) than what you need to do to get there. Buy how to become a POWER AGENT by Darryl Davis, I borrowed my broker's copy and I like it so much I am buying my own copy. It not only provides real training but Davis holds back nothing in terms of material you can use - it is a real gold mine. Every page has scripts, print outs, ideas that Zeller doesn't even touch on. Each to his own, I don't mean to disrespect the author but unless you already know all there is to know about the real estate industry there is no point reading a book by someone who doesn't give out all the details of how to follow his steps. I don't think you need to buy into a costly training program to be a great agent - after all these are master salespeople so I find it hard to trust them when they turn around to me and say the only way to get ahead is to empty my pockets. I learned more from Davis's book than I did spending 4 hours with a trainer from Floyd Wickman - I guess we all have different styles and we need to find what fits.

A to Z Success at any Agent or Broker level,
By
This review is from: The Champion Real Estate Agent: Get to the Top of Your Game and Knock Sales Out of the Park (Paperback)
This is definitely Dirk Zeller's most complete, up-to-date compilation of success strategies in Real Estate so far. I've enjoyed the "Dummies" book and also "Your First Year in the Business" but "The Champion Real Estate Agent" is by far THE BOOK any Agent or Broker wants in his or her library. You say you have five, ten, twenty years in the business? You'll still find room to improve (and make more money) by reading this book!

Most useful R E book I've ever read,
By
This review is from: The Champion Real Estate Agent: Get to the Top of Your Game and Knock Sales Out of the Park (Paperback)
As a broker for twenty-five years and a manager of one of the largest real estate companies in the US, I read and study real estate constantly. I've probably read every real estate book written in the last thirty years, and I've trained with Buffini, Ferry, Leader, Escobar, Hopkins, Davis, Butcher and others. Dirk's book is the best I've read PERIOD. I highly recommend it to every agent.

I found Dirk's book to be just as good or better than his last book. It is updated with useful information and is helpful for a new or an experienced agent. I would also recommend Dirk's objection handling module. It contains great information to help you, help your client get what they want.

This review is from: The Champion Real Estate Agent: Get to the Top of Your Game and Knock Sales Out of the Park (Paperback)
I thought this is an excellent book for the new agent who is trying to build his/her business to a higher level of expectations. The information and advice that Dirk passes on is sound and extremely effective. The organization of the book leads you through the journey of understanding what a Champion Agent is, through lead generations, to sales presentations and building the Champion Agent's Business. I highly recommend this book!!!

Excellent Training Tool !,
This review is from: The Champion Real Estate Agent: Get to the Top of Your Game and Knock Sales Out of the Park (Paperback)
I own and manage a small independent real estate brokerage. I have purchased this book for several of my agents and use it as a tool to enhance our individual training sessions. The material is actually "the big picture" for the new or struggling agent. The book contains the vitals for success in real estate. By studying this book and adopting the principles, I believe an agent can cut years off the learning curve and get up to speed very quickly. I recommend this book to anyone truly serious about creating a real estate career. Joe Woutersz Hearth & Home Real Estate

In 30 plus years of sales I thought I'd seen the best of sales and motivational training. However, after 4 years in Real Estate I believe this is the best and most specific help to my business yet. Wish I'd had this book on day one of my Real Estate career!

I have been listing and selling real estate for 24 years and have read many books on real estate sales and this truly is one of the best. I've read it twice in the last month and highly recommend that every real estate salesperson read it.

Job well done,

This review is from: The Champion Real Estate Agent: Get to the Top of Your Game and Knock Sales Out of the Park (Paperback)
OK - I read lots of books on this subject and of this type - but this one covers about 90% of what you'll need to know and it does so in a very straight forward, no nonsense, and very complete way. It does not read like a text book and yet it IS the text book for this subject. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to excell in Real Estate

Wonderful Information,
This review is from: The Champion Real Estate Agent: Get to the Top of Your Game and Knock Sales Out of the Park (Paperback)
Being new to the Real Estate business this book gave me great information to get me started. I consistently go back to get marketing ideas and to keep me focused on my business. I've also continued to increase my listings and $$ by using some of the ideas from Dirk.
