I use this with stainless steel rod and have cut about 3 feet total of threads for various shaft lengths. It helps to use a bushing to match the rod for added support when starting out to make sure everything stays in alignment. The handles are nice and comfortable but still provide firm grip and there doesn't seem to be any reduction in cutting ability so far. I also...

Die would never start threading. Would never catch the first thread in the die, even with what I consider excessive downward pressure to force the die to catch a thread and start, but didn't work. I ended up sending it back for a refund due to poor quality. Useless for simple threading. Probably would chase threads but that's not what it was needed for. What's the...
