Very poor zipper,

I previously owned a few zip front champion bras. They were a cotton mix and wonderful. It lasted me 3 years and 2 pregnancies! (Yeah, these zip front bras are great for nursing and sports). So since the older ones were getting, well old, I tried one of these.
Most importantly the zipper was bad from day one. It was very very hard to get a lock on the zipper, and after one week, the zipper just came off, making the bra useless. I checked the local store (perhaps I got a defective piece) but when I tried the zippers there, they also seemed to be the same poor quality - hard to hold and not very well made. And secondly, these are fully synthetic, no cotton mix, so not very comfortable for long hours of use. If there was a way to give negative stars I would so. The zippers are that bad. Sigh. I have to look elsewhere for good zip front bras.

Great support, but zipper is troublesome,

This is the third Champion zip-front sports bra I have owned, and I bought it because the first one is approaching its 10th year. I loved the first two, this one, not so much. The front comes up higher, which really isn't a big deal, but makes it fit differently. The support is very good, and the double dry material lives up to its name. The problem I have is with the zipper, which is different from the previous two styles I own. Every time I wear it I have to wrestle with the bottom tab for a good three to five minutes. After 10-20 attempts, I can usually get it to zip up properly, but it is a bit annoying.

I bought this bra because I was looking for one that I could fasten in the front and that offered good support while running. The bra itself is very comfortable-the fabric is soft and there aren't any tags scratching, however it is not terribly supportive. I use this bra mainly when I'm lifting weights or doing low-impact cardio, as it did not keep me from bouncing much during runs. I'd buy it again.

The other reviews are right, the zipper is terribly difficult to get closed. It sticks when first engaged and you have to fiddle with it to get it up, it really needs more sturdy hardware. I bought this one and a Moving Comfort zip front sports bra and have absolutely no problems with the Moving Comfort's zipper. This bra is less supportive than the other and the material in front is thinner, the neckline is higher cut as well. Generally pretty comfortable but found that the XS was still a little big on me. The moving comfort definitely fit and supported better.

good bra BUT,
This review is from: Champion Sport Zip Bra Womens (Apparel)
I knew the zipper might be a problem with making a bump under my shirts, but I went ahead and got it anyway. I don't have any trouble getting it zipped up, but the zipper-pull is so big, it makes a giant noticeable bulge on the top of my chest no matter what kind of shirt I wear or even with layering. It looks like I'm smuggling stolen goods under my shirt. Also, Champion, why do you seem to think everybody's boobs are super pointy?! I got the small as I am a 32/34 B, I am on the large end of B and the material was still loose and puckering in the nipple area. With all that said, it does give good support for working out and the adjustable side straps are awesome. I would only recommend it if you don't care about the zipper bulge and if you are C and up, or a very pointy B. I hope this review was helpful.

I bought this bra for my sister who was being treated for breast cancer. I was looking for a zip front bra but this one is very unattractive and bulky.

I've never reviewed a product before, but this is such a great bra for me and my situation. I was looking for a good supporting, zip front bra after bilateral mastectomy. I really like this bra alot (I have 2), I recommend it to all my friends. It is easy to get in to, when you can' move your arms very well and so much more comfortable than those "surgery" bras. I did end up needing a size bigger than what my other bras are, but thats no big deal. LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! this bra.

I bought one of these bra's after having the older heavy cotton version for years! This one didn't last a month before the zipper split at the bottom...very sad that Champion stopped making the older version of the bra that lasted so much longer and provided much better support.

Zipper Broke within 9 months,
By Janelle (florida) - See all my reviews

While I felt this bra was very comfortable and offered very good support for as chesty woman who likes to run, the zipper broke in under a year. I bought one, loved it initially, so I bought another. The first one lasted almost a year... the second one less. On the first one, the zipper simply stopped zipping. It seemed jammed. On the second, the part that you hold to zip broke off completely. I was very disappointed. It would be an excellent bra if Champion would improve the quality of the zipper. Not worth the price for the amount of time they last.
