I gave these 5 stars because there is no reason not to. The price is great and provide me plenty of comfort and protection and I've been whacked with all the way up to Junior Legion pitches. I do not have any complaints about the shinnies themselves, however, they don't feel 100% right where my shoes meet the ankle bone protectors with the 3-2 mid plate shoes. I think these would be better with low plate shoes. The ankle protectors get pushed out because my shoes come up high; and then I have to really crank down on the bottom strap so the bottom of the shin guard isn't moving around on me. I don't like straps too tight. But it's not awful and it doesn't hurt, just kind of annoying, and I forget all about it anyway. And like I said, that's not a knock on the shinnies. I want to make that point clear. I'm not taking any stars from the shinnies because they themselves are great. It's my shoe/shinnie combo that isn't right and it's my fault for not bringing them with me when I bought new plate shoes.
