5.0 out of 5 stars Love These Shorts
I've worn these shorts for years and am so glad they still make them. I like the longer inseam, they tend to stay in place as opposed to riding up. The waistband is comfortable and also stays in place. I have other tights/shorts where the waist pulls down and I have to keep pulling them up. They're great for numerous sports and comfortable to just wear around. I love...

1.0 out of 5 stars If you want to exercise in "mom" shorts, try these!
I was looking for some shorts with a longer inseam for my summer workouts, I'm not a fan of the itty bitty inseams on most women's athletic shorts and these seemed like they'd be great candidates, especially with how highly rated they are.

Sadly the waistband on these shorts is really stiff and even worse, an inch or two above my navel! I felt like they were...

I have worn these shorts for years to work out. This purcase is the nineth pair I have bought. They are durable and comfortable. I do not put them in the dryer. They are a nice length, just above the knee. The waist isn't too tight, they stretch with every movement.

5.0 out of 5 stars Just What You Need in Stay-Put Gym Shorts, February 18, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
A lot of workout bottoms nowadays tend to ride up or roll down, if you know what I mean. It's increasingly difficult to find anything that stays put as needed when running, walking, stretching, whatever.

I've long been a fan of Champion for their low prices and high quality products. That's why I turned to them for my most recent gym-bottom purchase.

These shorts are prefect.

They rest comfortably on my upper waist and stay in place by way of an inch-plus wide elastic band that is comfort encased by a soft material (it's a new elastic product as I've found that same band on sports bras of a different brand). The 9" inseam is long enough to keep the short just above my knees without creeping up.

They keep me cool and dry off quickly for those who may not have the luxury of doing laundry every day.

Overall, highest marks.

This review is from: Champion Women's 9" Double Dry Power Short (Apparel)
As a tall woman (a hair over 6 feet tall) I find that many work out shorts are created for short people and hence show too much of my upper thigh. The 9" champion short is a great length for statuesque ladies.

Something else I particularly appreciate is that the waist isn't "low rise" but rather sits high, close to my natural waist. Even when I was 19 and had a gorgeous six-pack for a stomach, I didn't want the whole world to see it. Now that I am a few *cough, cough* years older than that, I definitely like that these shorts cover my navel.

A good product at a good price (although, New York Lingerie often doesn't ship the purchases 'til a few days after you purchase them at amazon -- states clearly on the page, no surprises -- and then shipping can take 5 days, so you won't be receiving them in a hurry).

These are a great, hard-to-find length with real quality fabric and construction. I wish I had paid attention to the reviewer who said they run small - compression shorts usually do, but I didn't read the description thoroughly either because I was so excited to have found this length so didn't realize they were compression. I still wear them often, but would order a size up next time.

I absolutely LOVE these shorts. They are extremely comfortable, don't ride up and are a great length to work out in. I wish they came in more colors!

1.0 out of 5 stars If you want to exercise in "mom" shorts, try these!, June 21, 2011

I felt like they were the exercise equivalent of "mom jeans." The waistband felt binding and uncomfortable trying on the shorts standing around in my bedroom, I imagine it would be really irritating when moving and perspiring during a workout.

The shorts are being returned, the quest for longer shorts continues. The length on these was nice and the fabric seems like it would breathe well but the super-high waistband is an uncomfortable deal-breaker with this gal!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for workout, March 4, 2009
I just bought these shorts for running. I had some Under armor shorts but they were too short and my shorts would rub on my leg so I ordered these. I wear them for volleyball and biking. They not only provide protection (they come down to my knee) and dryness but they are also well made. I don't see them falling apart any time soon.
