This review is from: Champion Women's 3 Pack High Performance Low Cut Heel Shield Socks (Apparel)
I just checked to be sure I had read the description right and indeed it claims the socks are "cushioned for all day ease". So I was disappointed to find they have zero cush, they are thin socks all the way. But now that I've worn them and since the weather is getting hot I've decided they are going to work out okay. I've been wearing thick cushioned socks with half sized larger walking shoes for years. I believe this practice is why I do not have callouses despite walking fifteen miles each week. I suppose I'll find out after using these socks for the summer if my theory is correct. Fabric content is 60 nylon, 36 polyester, and 4 spandex. The socks come up on top of the foot to protect from the shoe lace area, then dip down low under the ankle bones, then rise up in the back to protect your heel from the shoe. The price is reasonable. I could buy low cut athletic socks for less locally but they are usually made with mostly cotton and don't hold up long. After a few launderings all the stretch is gone. Also I think man-made fibers are less likely to cause blisters. These socks stay up and they look good.
