4.0 out of 5 stars The second installment is just as good as the first, August 6, 2005

(REAL NAME)
Again Kenneth Flint takes us away to the mystical land of Eire, where the de Dannon people, after their sucessful revolt against their former High King Bres and his Fomor allies, are about to finish the task of wiping the island free of the Fomor. But unknown to them, Balor of the Evil Eye has decided to act against them to preserve his hold on Eire through the lower Fomor. Soon the Champions of the de Dannons (Lugh, Gilla, Aine, the Dagda, Angus Og, Morrigan, and all the rest) are pitted in a struggle against a massive technology they can neither understand or overcome. The outcome of this struggle will decide the ultimate future of the de Dannon race in Eire.

Another great story by Flint that once again brings to life Irish myths and mythological stories. The promise and high concepts of the first book are still evident here. The prose is well written and fast-moving, yet there is enough quiet reflection to satisfy any reader. Go find these books and read them!

5.0 out of 5 stars Champions Of The Sidhe Is A Celtic Fantasy Adventure!, February 23, 2005
This is the second book in a trilogy. The story picks-up when the evil lord Balor and his dark Druid Mathgen (originally thought dead) send the traitorous (half de Danann and Fomor) with an inhuman army to recapture the isle of Eire from the de Dananns and their choosen King Nuada.

However, the young hero Lugh (of the Long Arm) and his band of champions join together to defend their homeland. The de Danann warriors seek Queen Danu's cauldron on the mystic isle of Manannan MacLir. Lugh and his beloved Aine host the Silver Riders and rouse the de Danann people together to fight a final battle for the throne of the High Kings of Tara. Little do the de Dananns know that while they plan victory, there is one of their own lurking among them who is a spy for the Fomor and lord Balor.

This was a fast, edge of your seat read! Surprises around every corner! Read the entire series, you will be enthralled!
