I love shifter books. I seriously have a shifter problem. With Chance of Fate, I kept seeing and reading about the book, putting it on my wish list, seeing it was already there, then starting the process all over again. After the fourth time, I realized I was meant to read this book. I am so glad I did.

In some ways this book was your typical paranormal romance book. I am ok with that. I love them. This book did have more to offer than that, which helped it rise above the pack. The story sucked you in from the very beginning. It had just enough different lore to make it interesting, but was not so far out there that you were scratching your head saying, "huh"? It had heat, but was never trashy. My favorite character was Dane and it looks like he may be getting a more significant role in future books if I read the hints correctly. I sure hope so!!! He is made of awesome!!!

I will definitely be keeping my eyes peeled for more books by this author. I am hoping to see a lot more books in this series. For the price, this book is definitely worth taking a chance on. I do not feel this book is not for younger readers. It has violence and some pretty hot adult scenes.

Apparently, I thought I was punny tonight. Sorry about that.

I loved it! It has everything I like in a book: supernatural beings, strong protagonists, on the surface story lines and undercover backstabbing you don't see till the end! What's not to like? Then you throw in some steamy scenes and I am hooked.

Stephanie Taylor is making a name for herself and building a business with her roommate and good friend, Dane, and finally getting over a messy breakup. She was feeling good and looking forward to moving on. Of course, that's always when lightning strikes. She meets handsome Chance, who just happens to be a werewolf of high standing in the local pack. Electricity sparks and Chance knows that he is meant to be with her. I love how instant their attraction is. In my opinion, all supernatural beings are super hotblooded and I doubt I will be changing my mind anytime soon. It's too sexy to give up. Both Chance and Steph are well rounded characters who flesh out secondary characters just by being the scene. Emleigh Walsh really did a good job because the entire book is full of amazing descriptions that make you feel like you are in her character's world. I don't give out endings in my reviews so you need to read for yourself but be ready to not be able to put this one down. I read this one on my Droid after soaking in the tub and after finishing it (way too late at night cause I didn't want to stop), I had super pleasant dreams all night.

Stephanie got divorced and starts a new life and business with her best friend in a new town, when she one day bumps into Chance, something happens between them a bound is created and although Stephanie is not waiting for a new relationship, she has not choice driven by a power she can't explain she can not stay away from him. She knows he is a werewolf from day one, but that doesn't bother her.

Chance knows since the bump in that she is his mate and does all he can to convince Stephanie about that too. When she is admitting she feel the same they go for it but the pack elders are against Chance having a Human mate and have ultimate's. Chance agrees with it as long he can have Stephanie.

When her ex husband comes in town and makes bad decisions then the pack takes it up against him and a wild pack of wolf that is attacking their village too, what happened next is something you will have to read for yourself, it is amazing, intriguing and wild.
I loved this book and read it fast, I hope there will be a follow up about Chance and Stephanie.
