Shane lives with his dad in the middle of a thick woods, which he likes to explore by himself. Here he meets and befriends Big Foot. There are some realistic elements, with his dad pushing him to succeed in sports and his infatuation with a girl who doesn't know he exists and some suspense over his mother's death. But the ending falls to pieces, with too much happening, from a kidnapped dog to discovery of his mom's suicide. Slow moving till the end, then preposterous.
