Suspense brings all the 6 books together.....all the characters brought to life in the first 5 are apart of the complete story. The actual murderers are brought to justice...the town of Loomis, LA, returns to a happy little town. Could tell you who the murders are, but personally I feel anyone interested needs to read the series. All six writers do an outstanding job with their writing, the suspense going in so many different directions, the characters faith in God keeps the friends and families together and the love they each find is so very special..Terri Reed, great job. A suspense series I couldn't put down, loved every one of them....if you enjoy suspense, you'll definitely enjoy this series.

Without a Trace
Book 6

In the final book, we get all our answers. We finally meet Leah, the woman who goes missing in the first book. She has amnesia and is discovered by bounty hunter, Roman, who is on his own mission of killing a man from his past. He quickly learns that Leah may not be the cold-blooded murderer everyone thinks he is and together they try to get answers.

There are some big detail errors in this. I can't name them all, but I'll point out a couple as an example: Wendy is currently dating a deputy from the police department. Whoops, because in book 4, she was married to a deputy and had a couple kids...Also, Harrison was NOT an FBI agent. His girlfriend was...There are several problems with the details in this book, and some final one's didn't match with what really happened...

Anyways, I did have an inkling as to who it was and pretty much figure it out...The romance between Roman and Leah was very sweet. I really liked that part of it.

Oh, but the Spiritual views were a bit messed up for me. Leah thinks that if you murder someone you'd lose your soul...Nope, that's not what my Bible says...

Series:

I've read several multi-author continuity series through LI and LIS, and I must say that this was pretty good and kept me reading BUT there were a lot of errors throughout the series. The other's have made small mistakes, but this series just took the cake. Anyway, the romances were sweet and the suspense kept me reading. I think that perhaps a little more discussing the various details should have taken place...

Very entertaining, and it kept me guessing who the villain was right to the very end. Getting past denial and to forgiveness is a good message for any circumstance. It has provoked some thought for me in a completely unrelated circumstance. Surprise! I didn't know it was there. Thank you, Terri Reed.

This story was sort of OK in parts, but I found that I couldn't get over that a homeless man, though a lesser character, was referred to over and over as 'the town drunk', and 'a drunk' and 'a bum'. Only a few times in comparison, did the author actually use his name.

To me this seriously dehumanized a tragic character, who was alcoholic and probably paranoid schizophrenic by description of his actions and his dialogue, a man with untreated disease. I thought it was a sad thing for a Christian writer to refer to a human being in this way. And then when the man was afraid to give the main characters information, the hero offered 'to beat it out of him' and said that the man should be in 'the loony bin'.

The hero and heroine both claimed to be Christians of strong faith. Maybe they never considered: What so ever you do (and say) to the least of My brothers....

Her Last Chance was a great finale to a great little series. I didn't detect any discrepancies between this book and the others, and the ending actually surprised me. I liked the portrayal of Leah and really liked Roman who was introduced in this book. My only problem was a statement made by Leah to Roman regarding his quest for vengeance. She said, "Murdering this man as an act of revenge...you'll lose your soul if you make that choice." That is hogwash and should not be in this book. Even murder is not an unforgiveable sin. And earlier Roman had referred to his having accepted Christ into his life. The statement made by Leah could detrimentally affect someone not ground in their faith who reads the book. For the suspense, and the subtle romance, the richness of characters, and the concept of keeping strong in your faith no matter your circumstances, I give this book 5 stars. I had to subtract 1 for the blatant un-Biblical comment.

The books all arrived in excellent shape. The series was great. They kept you guessing until the end. I did not realize until I had read five of the books that they had a sixth one. That was disappointing to have to wait for a couple of weeks to finish the series.

Terri Reed never disappoints you. This was part of a series. I loved the take on the story from different authors. It really flowed well from one book to the next. I held off reading until I had all the books. My grand daughter had to wait until I was done to get her hands on them. I think these will stay on my keeper shelf!
