This review is from: Chandigarh: 40 Years After Le Corbusier (Paperback)
A very clear explanation of the way Chandigarh was created, including all the mistakes and failures due to Le Corbusier's strong personality who didn't care about Indian history and culture, why would he if Modern Movement firmly opposes history and culture. An enlightening document for students and professionals dealing with urban issues. I suggest also Peter Hall's "Cities of Tomorrow" |
