I for one was thrilled when I found this three volume set on the bookseller's shelf despite being on the very thin side. There are clean reprints of some of the most iconic images of Coco Chanel and well chosen advertising images of the recent last thirty or so years. These of course include photos of the achingly beautiful spokesmodels Carole Bouquet, Catherine Deneuve and Anna Mouglalis for Chanel's various products. I am happy to have bought the set but I really wish there had been far more pictorial material. I am certain Chanel's archives are far more plentiful and the books left me wanting much more. I have not been able to find an adequate Chanel book that is still in print but this set will do for a start since it was bought at a discounted price. The written material is simply succinct and perhaps that's best. Fashion shouldn't be overanalyzed anyway.

I just expected more from this 3 book set. The photos are very modern. There aren't close ups of the work of. There is very little text, just at the front of the book. I was hoping for something more in depth. It helped a little into my insight to CoCo Chanel, but not much.

This trilogy set in a box - Fashion, Jewellery & Perfume is a must have for all Chanel lovers. It features the most Iconic of all Chanel lines. This is a great addition to all other books on COCO CHANEL. A must for the collection.

This is a beautiful set consisting of 3 books (fashion, jewels, and perfume)all housed in a sleek slipcase.

Like the rest of the series published by Assouline, each book contains 15-20 pages introduction, followed by 60-75 pages of beautiful color & b/w photos showing Chanel's various creations, then the book ends with a timeline and photo credits where the photos are reproduced in a smaller size along with captions stating the date of the photo and the name of the photographer.

This set is a worthy addition to all Chanel fans, other recommendations include:

2) Chanel: The Vocabulary of Style.

3) Jacques Helleu and Chanel.

Very complete bio of the fashion diva's legacy. Contains many obscure facts about Chanel that give us an enhanced look at this unusual woman. Photography is absolutely stunning.
