We purchased this larger clock (the Cheney "Acu-Rite" 24 inch indoor/outdoor) for our patio & loved that we could see it from the pool. We received many compliments on it, and it actually keeps temp and humidity readings fairly well unlike some of the reviews we've read about other clocks from the same company.

Unfortunately, it quit keeping accurate time after about a year. I changed out the batteries several times to no avail - even with a new/different brand. The clock works fine for a while and then stops sporadically for hours at a time. The hands are not catching on anything...and nothing appears to be warped.

Our next step, since I think we are past the warranty, is to attempt to replace the clock motor. If that doesn't work, to the trash bin it goes!

I bought this clock for our patio/lanai. It has a beautiful finish and is quite light. It has worked well, with no issues during the Florida summer or winter chills.

Definitely recommended.The price prevented me from giving five stars.

Bought this as a gift for my boyfriends parents lake cabin and they loved, loved, loved it! No one else on the lake has one and everyone thinks it is great. Can see the time from the end of the dock and the raft which was the reason for buying it. Just make sure you take it down if there is a storm coming because strong winds could cause it to fall and would probobly crack it pretty easily. And if you are leaving it out in extreme heat or cold make sure you use lithium ion batteries because regular ones can explode and leak causing damage to the clock.

I was very excited to get this clock, and hung it immediately. However the temperature gauge read 100 degrees on a less than 80 degree day, so I followed the instructions on how to adjust the temperature, still could not get a correct reading, so requested an exchange. The replacement clock was damaged obviously prior to shipment, as someone had colored the scuff marks in with black marker..the third one works fine, but after only 45 days outside the face of the clock is bleached out. It is still an attractive clock, but I think for 90.00 it should hold up better. The clock is hanging in a screened pool enclosure under the eave of the house, so not directly exposed to sun or weather..I gave 3 stars as I don't hate it, but feel a little ripped off...
