5.0 out of 5 stars Solid release, October 15, 2001
This review is from: Change (Audio CD)
One of my favourite CD's by The Alarm, this re-released version provides it's listeners with some of the original songs, some remixes and live tracks plus 3 b-side masterpieces. I would suggest buying the original CD release and then purchasing this import to complement your collection.

5.0 out of 5 stars What a great album, April 19, 2007
This review is from: Change (Audio CD)
These guys were a major force in the development of the post-punk, alternative scene.

Maybe they were too political to get very far.

hmm

4.0 out of 5 stars Anguish Rock 101, April 30, 2001

This review is from: Change (Audio CD)
A town destroyed, dreams of rage, a river of blood, and environmental destruction are some of the happy topics found on Change.Vocals filled with pain and torment are set well against driving music to create a sonic force of pure emotion. Stand out tunes like, "Sold Me Down The River," "Hardland," River To Cross," and the emotionally arresting "A New South Wales" are all fine examples of The Alarm at its best. The problem with the CD is the pain is unrelenting; giving the listener no break from the depressing tone. A good hard rocking CD that won't be for every day listening, it's just too depressing.
