Book Description

April 30, 2010
When family disaster stripped the youthful Leonie Conyngham of everything, she went from being the most important pupil at an exclusive Mayfair school to being the lowliest teacher. Now, Leonie is in her twenties and her beauty attracts the attention of the Duke of Thornbury, a notorious rake, as well as the loathsome advances of his odious friend, Edward Longhurst. Edward's elegant sister, Imogen, is the belle of the London Season, and she is as devious and spiteful as the two men put together. When handsome, gallant Sir Guy de Lacy enters the scene, Leonie soon falls foul of Imogen's jealous spite, and has to fight hard to retain her reputation ...as well as to prove to Hal that she is not the untrustworthy, immoral creature that her enemies paint her to be.

More About the Author

Hello! I'm actually Sandra Heath, the Regency author - Sandra Wilson is one of my four pen names. Admittedly, some of the Sandra Wilson titles now available are old Sandra Heath books in disguise, but if you can find them, all my English medieval historicals were written as Sandra Wilson.

So yes, it's me, and you'll find one of my bios at each of my four pen names, the two unmentioned being Sarah Stanley and Jeannie Machin. Two of the Sarah Stanley titles, STAR-CROSSED SUMMER and MIDWINTER MARRIAGE, are the first of a new series of four sensuous Regencies. I sincerely hope to complete the stories of these characters, but at the moment I have so much else to write that it may be a little while.

If you've read my Sandra Heath bio, you'll know how I got started in writing. My small daughter had meningitis and was rushed to hospital. To take my mind off it all, my father gave me a portable typewriter and told me to lose myself in fiction. I tried, and at first it was hopeless, but as the days passed, and the need for some sort of diversion continued, I found myself settling into a story. When my daughter left hospital, safe and well, the book continued. It was all about Lady Cicely Plantagenet, the daughter of Edward IV and niece of Richard III. Cicely's romantic story eventually became a Sandra Wilson trilogy, LESS FORTUNATE THAN FAIR, THE QUEEN'S SISTER and THE LADY CICELY. Other medieval historicals followed...until eventually I was diverted again, this time into the hothouse world of the English Regency.

I now have over sixty-five titles to my name(s) and can thoroughly recommend writing as absorbing, relaxing and rewarding. If anyone reading this now has ever wondered if they could write a book, I urge them to give it a go. Imagine it all as a movie, and let your fingers get on with it.

Recently I've been diverted yet again, and have returned to earlier periods than the Regency. As far back as Ancient Egypt! If you like erotic fiction, you might like to try my recent Sandra Heath ebook, PHARAOH'S BELOVED. My next book will be set in 11th century Norman England. There will be witchcraft and danger, forbidden love and dark secrets. It will be called SAXON PAWN. Watch out for it!
