Book Description

Mr. Darcy has met his match!

Life at Netherfield Park is forever altered when Elizabeth Bennet stays to care for her sister Jane. Fitzwilliam Darcy is faced with the most perilous time of his life when he realizes he has developed passionate feelings for Elizabeth, a woman who is wholly unsuitable to be his wife.

Mr. Darcy has an unprecedented change of heart that leads him to the love of a lifetime. However, nothing could have prepared him for the rapier-sharp wit of the impertinent Miss Bennet whose mischievous manners conceal her genuine disdain for the gentleman from Derbyshire.

Elizabeth soon has a dilemma of her own as she tries to discover the real Mr. Darcy. Is he the sombre, arrogant man she met at the assembly in Meryton or is he the charming man with a smile designed to melt her heart?

Our darling couple are about to embark upon a life full of humour, passion and drama which unfolds in a way neither of them could have anticipated.

Find out for yourself how Pride and Prejudice, a favourite classic romance by Jane Austen transforms when our most-beloved hero’s actions take him on a fortuitous divergence in Change of Heart.

2.0 out of 5 stars Wanting to be positive... June 8, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Dear Ms. Noel: I believe you can do better than this. There is too much redundancy in wording and in relaying the characters thoughts. The characters are uncaring and rude. The dialog in this book is sadly not what I'd expect even in a P & P alteration. No significant plot deviations--can we get out the Netherfield please? Shake it up, give your characters something to think about, some other catastrophe besides evading a shrieking Miss Bingley. You are writing about the Regency Era and that means (among many things) manners, manners, manners. Elizabeth would never have been so blatantly rude nor would everyone have laughed at their hostess so mockingly.
I'm not 1/3 the way through and I'm not likely to finish it. I'm a fairly forgiving reader but I can't read more for the time being. Again: you can do better. Give it another go. Research the language, the manners, give them a unique adventure we haven't read about. I'll keep an eye out for you (can't help it, I'm addicted to P&P variations). Surprise me and delight me! Yours -- a Reader.

1.0 out of 5 stars don't bother borrowing August 12, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
This book has poorly written paragraphs containing mostly repetitive lust. I am glad I only borrowed it. Do not waste your time with this.

1.0 out of 5 stars Horrid!!! June 9, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
The repeated blah blah blah and sex sex sex ugh over and over is ridiculous. NO STORY HERE. I can't imagine what one reader is waiting for in a part two. Pick up any old Cheaply written sex novel and you'll have as many parts as you can stomach. Shame on the author for using Elizabeth and Darcy for this premise. I'm not apposed to lovemaking tactfully folded into a story but obviously this author attempts to hide the fact she/he is not a story teller by satisfying readers who seek written sex acts as this ALL this is about.

3.0 out of 5 stars good for a laugh or two June 21, 2013

This book is not for Jane Austen purists but if you are okay with breaking rules regency era propriety you would be okay with this book. This is a good read if you just got done reading high angst and need a little break check this out. The author's mush writing could use some work but I have read worse. Elizabeth asking Darcy if he wanted a belly rub during their dance at Netherfield pretty much sums up the book. Good quick read if you need a chuckle.

1.0 out of 5 stars UNWORTHY P AND P VARIATION June 26, 2013
By Jody
Format:Kindle Edition
This story is so untrue to the original characters. Got a third way through and closed it up. The writing was lacking in style and flow. The scene with Darcy and Elizabeth at the billiard table seemed to have been written by a group of high school boys sitting around drinking beer. The author acknowledges involvement by her family and men in particular but I question why men would review this trash written by their daughter or sister or aunt. There was too much sex and it got old and the scenes were just a repeat of an earlier scene. I wished the author would have used more compound-complex sentences. The writing at times was at a mid-school level and there were some sentences that made no sense. The author had many mistakes in grammar and spelling.

The author should write this smut using other stories and certainly not P&P

2.0 out of 5 stars Readable, But Not Very Good August 9, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
The book was ok in the beginning but as it began to be near the end of the book everything started happening at once. I didn't think it was a very creative Pride and Prejudice variation.

5.0 out of 5 stars I couldn't put this book down!!! July 5, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I absolutely loved this books and look forward to read the sequel!! I just loved how Elizabeth and Darcy were able to confront each other much earlier and with less bitter words. There is still a decent amount of angst, but sometimes I love not having all the angst (not always good for my heart or sanity!!). I felt that the characters stayed pretty true to the originals that Jane Austen created. A must read!!!

1.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing October 22, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This book was filled with so many grammatical errors! Clearly no one even bothered to edit the book. Do these people know that there is a word called syntax??? Look it up and learn to use it when writing.
Added to the above, the language was far too modern, with use of words like "kidding". Also, from almost the beginning of the book straight through to the end, there were sex scenes. Is that all there is to love? Please! I found myself rolling my eyes constantly.
The story line was not well developed either. The book just went from one incident to the other, rather abruptly. I could go on, but I really do not like to give bad reviews.
I must say though, I do not recommend this book, and will most likely not read the follow-up.
