Book Description

July 5, 2010
You Shouldn't Need a Life-Threatening Illness to Reclaim Your Relationship! For Kenya Stevens, that is what it took. Married at age 21 to a man she had met on a blind date a few months earlier, Kenya's early years with Carl were fraught with conflict-troubles that she now understands had a lot to do with her own need to dominate and be in total control. Then came a bout with a particularly nasty, often-fatal illness, and everything changed. No longer able to control and dominate, Kenya turned to her mate. Forced to dig deeply and become vulnerable, she built her way back to physical and emotional health. Kenya and Carl healed their own relationship utilizing a diverse background in powerful healing, self-help, and spiritual/metaphysical disciplines from yoga to music to Feng Shui to the Law of Attraction. It wasn't long before Kenya started sharing her insights with other women and couples. As CEO of JujuMama LLC (www.jujumama.com), she and Carl lead seminars and provide individual and group sessions. Carl has written a companion book for men, Tame Your Woman. In this life-changing book you will learn... How both partners can embrace both the feminine and the masculine within themselves and each other. How to phrase criticism in non-blaming, positive ways that inspire action. How to focus on what you want to attract, and stay away from what you want to drive away-and the ways this can help you shape your man's behavior.

5.0 out of 5 stars Change Yourself, Change Your Man!!!!!!!! July 16, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase
After seeing Kenya and her husband Carl on the Monique show a few weeks ago, I just knew I needed to read this book! I am so glad that I purchased it...I highly recommend. It all makes sense. Kenya opens with how school, society, and our culture shape womanhood today. How we truly never learn how to be women who attract men and people in general who are most suitable for us. Her biggest message is that: We attract who and what we are. She breaks it down into 9 Chapters: 1. Give him common sense, 2. Make him the man-Discover your role, 3. Make him romantic-Become please able, 4. Make him happily responsible-allow him his comfort, 5. Make him sucessful-Be his biggest, corniest cheerleader, 6.Change him for the better- Stop giving him directions, 7. Make him stylish-Care for yourself, 8. Make him comptent- Stop Competing, and lastly The Real Conclusion-Your Man is Your Mirror.

Each chapter concludes with an actual step/process to take to work on yourself to make changes. Also, there are affirmations and activties to do to get you focused and going in the right direction. She speaks heavily on the Law of Attraction and Gender Roles...which I whole heartedly believe work! In the beginning she breaks down the 4 roles of the women and the 4 rules of the man. These are excellent and really allow one to figure out whether they posses or not..but you have to get the book to learn more about them! 4 roles for women: Visionary, Devotee, Conservationsit, and Lover. The book goes indepth and specifies the Male counterparts of each. POINT BLANK: Ladies change yourself....you will change your man!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you are ready for your relationship to go to the next level, or your marriage to strengthen, or to find the man and relationship you have always wanted....order this book today! There promises to be a second volume to this as well..so you will be armed with new knowledge and tools to use to get where you want to be. There is also a male version of this book, called Tame Your Man by her husband, as well.

5.0 out of 5 stars More Than Meets the Eye! July 22, 2010
By 1luvm3
There is more to Kenya Stevens then meets the eye. While it is easy to see her in her "DIVA" form, this book reveals her in her Goddess form. In "Change Your Man," Kenya reveals much of the spiritual wisdom that she learned in her priestess training and life experiences.

From this book I have learned how to attract the money and love that I want. I read this book in about 1 day, (despite its size), amidst lots of college finals. The best part of this book is the rituals that Kenya suggests, which seem to have a backing in both the psychological and spiritual realms.

For example, In the chapter on Making Men Successful, Kenya suggests to keep a journal of all the positive things that your man has done, almost like a brag book. This is to be done for three weeks, at least. The ritual is more detailed, but basically at the end of it, your focus on the positive traits of your man will attract even more of the positive.

This book is a resource that you will find yourself going back to because it is about more than love. It is about money, career, mental and spiritual health, and ultimately how to live your best life. This is a valuable book, that I will share in the future when I have my own daughter.

Get the book! It's only ~$20, an expense you wont remember in a few weeks, And You'll Have this Wisdom to practice for a lifetime!
=)

5.0 out of 5 stars A great read, proceed with an open mind! July 21, 2010
This book has revolutionized my approach to relationships and has started a personal rebirth in my rediscovering my feminine side. I like how Kenya used her personal story as a backdrop and template to assist the reader on their path of discovery. I have incorporated a few of her practices into my life and I am grateful for Kenya's insight. I'd recommend this book to all women as a primer to engage them in the process of revitalizing and rekindling their relationships if they are involved, and as a guidebook for those seeking the relationship that they desire. I look forward to reading her upcoming works and will her continual success in all her endeavors. ~Khetnu Nefer ( LaDawn Frasier)

I enjoy Ms. Stevens' enthusiasm and her philosophy is very close to my own. I just wish she had a better editor, the one she used is likely studying ESL. Read more
