Dr. Phil's humor and caring style of writing helped me look at my issues. Understanding my Thought Mines has helped me calm myself at home and at work. I highly recommend this book. --A reader
Fear has been my constant companion. Dr. Phil's approach to dealing with fear seemed too easy to be true. But as he explained, ACTION CONQUERS FEAR! --A reader I loved the stories. They helped me understand difficult problems. The section on goal setting has helped a lot. I wish I read this book 20 years ago. --A reader

This book reads quickly and easily. It is filled with specific advice delivered in a caring and humorous way. The stories make clear that you're not the only one with "Thought Mines". In addition, the book provides a precise plan for making improvements and gives you a chance to try them out with the activities. The small section on the brain was really interesting and should satisfy the science lover.
