One's spriritual journey,
By Deborah Fleck (Canada) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Changes (Paperback)
I found "Changes" to be spiritually enriching. You can truly feel the depth of Debra's relationship with God and the journey she has taken through her life to have that relationship. The book is very thought provoking, as well, it stirs many emotions. My favourite poem is "There's No Place Like Home".

This was a wonderful read! There is so little Christian poetry available that to find this was a treasure. A must buy for believers, but also good for anyone on a spiritual journey.

Changes Review,
By Jacqueline Griggs (Ottawa, Ontario. Canada) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Changes (Paperback)
I thoroughly enjoyed reading the book Changes. Many of the poems spoke of experiences that I could relate to easily, in particular 'Joy Comes in the Morning', 'Time's Turning Point' and 'To Make a Difference.' I could also read my own life experience into many more than the three poems I have mentioned. Having expressed how these poems relate to me personally I would like to emphasize that the peoms in this anthology would also comfort, encourage and cause spiritual reflection and direction for inner peace for all readers. One of the poems that perhaps stikes a chord in our society is the lack of bond between father and child. The poem entitle 'He Died for Me' vividly brings home the message that we should continually strive at every opportunity to unconditionally love, comfort, share, weep and laugh, with our earthly fathers.

Debra's book of poem reveals her insights into life and its challenges. It provides sometimes amusing, and always touching stories and ideas that lift the soul. Having had challenges of my own dealing with my son'd childhood cancer, I found the book a source of hope and renewed optimism about life.
