homeless children,
By M.G. "Hey Michael" (Charleston, SC) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Changing Places: A Kids View of Shelter Living (Paperback)
Probably one of the best childrens books ever written about the issues facing homeless children, or children from an abused family.
Originally designed as a book to be given to children actually going to a homeless shelter, it is very striking and presents very serious topics on a level developmentally appropiate for elementary and middle school age children. Excellent book for a teacher or parent to read to an older elementary school, or intermediate school child in order to discuss these serious, real life topics of homelessness, shelters, and abused children and families. |
