This review is from: Changing Poverty, Changing Policies (Institute for Research on Poverty Series on Poverty and Public Policy) (Paperback)
I bought this book for graduate school at the University of Chicago. It is an excellent collection of articles by noted scholars on social policy issues, especially poverty. There are a lot of facts and figures and data, but they are explained, interpreted, and integrated very well into the verbiage. I highly recommend it.

This review is from: Changing Poverty, Changing Policies (Institute for Research on Poverty Series on Poverty and Public Policy) (Paperback)
This book presents strong research and analysis of trends in poverty and related policy over the recent decades. Sheldon Danzinger is a premier scholar, and has been featured in the news media. Even for those who have studied social policy in the past--including myself, this book is an invaluable resource for any who want to see an updated picture of changing contexts.
