4.0 out of 5 stars Nice album! February 23, 2005
By sisil
Format:Audio CD
The first time I heard Ken Hirai sang was in a jazz compilation album. He sang 'Don't know why' in that CD, the way he sang the song made me want to hear more. So I bought this CD, The Changing Same. I expected something jazzier, but it turned out more pop and R&B-ish. This album opens with 'Love Love Love', a lovely gospel-like song, which Ken Hirai wrote himself. I like 'The flower is you', 'Unfit for love', 'Wonderful world', and the last song 'The changing same'.

5.0 out of 5 stars Simply Amazing!!! February 5, 2007
By Heeven
Format:Audio CD
This was Ken's first album to be infused with an R&B sound. His two previous albums were fully pop-oriented and lacked the artistic vision this one has.

His voice also experienced a dramatic change for the better acquiring a distinct emotional tone not heard before in his works.

His song Rakuen opened a new chapter in Ken's career and it is one of his best known classics among fans.
