This Cd is absolutely sublime. Not only are the performances great, but the songwriting (in most cases) is superb. Carmine, Kelly and Tony gel incredibly well. Kelly Keeling's vocals need to be heard to be believed, as he molds his voice to fit the mood of each tune. My faves are the Zakk Wylde performance, "Code 19", and Warren DeMartini on "Perfect Day". Apparently Carmine Kelly and Tony wrote all these songs.....if you don't like this CD, you don't enjoy REAL guitar playing.

What a great record ,,,I got it because of Carmine,,but was amazed at the songs and production,,,Mind trip....very classic. Carmine Always is. The vocals are good but too processed. OUT OF MIND IS THE REAL STUFF<NEAL SCHON,,does a great solo OH and Zakk,,,,,rock out.

Code 19 is brilliant, Seems like Carmine And Kelly have a writing partnership that will last..

Stash is playing now,,,Freaky song... I Highly suggest this for people with musical intelligence..

This album is what I would call smart rock. very inventive. try keeping time with some of these songs. Just when a pattern is established it goes off. I love the song with Nugent, reminds me of thin lizzy, but heavier. Score is the name. Tony franklin plays some great bass on this, never heard slide bass before. I love the singer. I had to check to find that it was the same singer on all the tracks . Lots of different styles and emotions.very cool. The drumming is great. Carmine playes really interesting grooves here, similar to Bonham, Big sound. I think John Norum playes the best solo. That song is great , Reminds me of Grand funk meets Purple with Glenn Hughes at times. Cool C.D>

First song is a bit funky.drums are keeping it too solid I think funkier a little looser would have been better

but that's what carmine is known for... solid.

There are some really great songs here ..the packaging is deceiving,,,,it's a song record with Great vocals and instrumentation.I guess the band is Kelly Keeling singer, main guitars,,Tony franklin bass, and Carmine stealing the spotlight which is o.k . Probobly his best playing to date. Chek out Kelly Keeling on the new MSG record The band is weak but keeling is in top form aS he is here on Guitar Zeus, I assume he is the songwriter, similarities in lyric and melody style stick out. Out of mind sticks out as a hit ..!!!don't know why this is Not one. It has it all cheap trick meets ozzy..Meets Lennon,, Heavy guitar again by keeling.. Niel schon plays a great solo here. Not important though. cut it and the song is better.Perfect day is an awesome hit. Woever is doing promotion and packaging is an idiot,this c.d. is amazing. a must for fans of the bands I mentioned before. I got it by chance hoping to be entertained and whew,I play it every day

Oh and the song gonna rain With ritchie Sambora is awesome also. Great vocals I guess it's all kelly doing the singing here too.. Killer sambora does some good guitar ,, better than in BON JOVI thats for sure.maybe he is doing harmonies,he isn't credited though as singing..This should be on the radio. Hard radio. Good mellow songs too doin fine is killer, girlfriends favorite song.

Get it , you won't be dissapointed

As Guitar Zeus 0ne, this is unbelieveable! ...Great catchy, original, smart, beautiful songs. Perfect day send chills down my spine every time I hear it, no matter how many times I've already heard it. But all songs are great, not a single 4-stars song in here. Tony Franklin makes the bass SING, and Kelly Keeling has to be the most underrated singer of all times. He is as good as, or better than Coverdale, Hughes, Dio, Gillan. And Carmine is Carmine. Living legend of the drums. Highly reccommended.

Between GZ-I and GZ-II I cannot believe that these CD's have not had an impact in the states. These two CD's are a guitar enthusiasts dream come true. Neal Schon, Brain May, Steve Morse, Slash, Paul Gilbert, Doug Aldrich, Yngwie Malmsteen, Elliot Easton, Leslie West, Zakk Wylde, John Norum, Ted Nugent, Ty Tabor, Warren DeMartini, Dweezil Zappa, Kenji Kitajima,Vivian Campbell. The list goes on and on. The material on both CD's are TOP notch. Carmine mentioned above the amount of time and effort that he, Kelly and Tony put into these projects. I tip my hat off to them. This is excellent material. I highly recommend it. Both CD's are worth every penny. Both CD's are played frequently to and from work. For as long as Carmine and co. put out GZ CD's I'll be anxious to buy them. Thanks for your music.
