Product Description

Channel Vision's C-0032 houses an amplifier and two splitters all in one plate. It amplifies and splits cable TV signal to 16 locations with zero loss, making it ideal for small residential systems. It features a bi-directional return path for use with interactive set-top digital boxes. The C-0332 is not designed to be placed outdoors and should not be exposed to the water or moisture. The C-0332 easily mounts into Channel Vision's structured wiring enclosures using push and lock pins.

I'm going to type one review for three products. I hope that is allowed.

A friend of mine owns the "hippest ultra-chic dive bar" in Mesa, AZ. The A/V system has had many problems for several years. The biggest customer complaint was the snowy picture and lack of clarity across the 8 televisions. Being a dive bar, these were not LCD's or Plasma TV's, all were CRT's. I had a budget of $200. The original setup was for Direct TV, DVD player, VCR and ROKU, an internet TV provider. These were all connected via 2-way coax splitters and two way switches. I removed about two dozen of the switches and splitters along with a couple hundred feet of coax when I started.

The first part of my setup used the Cables To Go 28750 4x2 S-Video + Composite Video + Stereo Audio Selector Switch (Black) (purchased here). This product has 4 inputs with 2 outputs. Though the item doesn't mention it in the description, this switch is capable of converting S-Video to Composite and vice versa. This was handy because some of the source devices only had composite video out and I wanted to use S-Video coming out of the switch. I sent one of the 2 outputs to the A/V receiver, mainly for sound purposes but also to supply a monitor and digital projector.

The other output went to the Belkin RF Modulator ( F8V3063 ) that I purchased here. Since some of the TV's only had coax input and the rest were already wired with coax, converting the A/V signals to coax was the most cost effective distribution method.

The configuration of the Channel Vision C-0332 allows coax cables to be installed in the media panel without any bends as the cables can come straight down onto the connectors. It is compatible with Leviton media panels. The only negative is the amplifier. It does not seem to have the gain to supply each of the the 8 way splitters without some loss of signal. In my panel I had to install another amplifier that has slightly more gain and a better Noise Figure to take the place of the amp that came with the C-0332. If you live in a strong signal area the amplifier furnished with the C-0332 might be adequate.

The splitter does what I want it to do. I installed it in minutes and it's been working for over a month. I use the splitter for distributing air tv signals for my tv sets throughout the house. The TV's are Plasma and LCD's with HD digital tuners, I currently have 9 sets connected with plans for 5 more; so far so good. I saw more expense units but this one works for me. 1 month and counting.

I have a standard 19" rack for all of my coaxial and cat6 terminations in the house. I really needed a rack mount amplified splitter and couldn't find one anywhere. I settled on this and hoped that I could somehow bolt this up to a blanking panel to adapt it into a 19" rack. I bought a 1U blanking panel and was able to easily mount this on there. I had to drill 2 small holes in the blanking panel flange, then I just bolted the C-0332 to it and it's rock solid!

Works as advertised and I am happy with the purchase. I did need to add an additional amplifier to strengthen the signal.

This is what I was searching for years! Cut the cord and used this to provide each room with a local signal from one antenna. Each room has crystal clear HD Local channels. I'm a happy camper.

With many TV sets to feed signal to this turned all those splitters into one neat arrangement. Signal level out is enough to feed a workshop that has a 150 foot run to the splitter.
I multiplex signals from more than one source that is feed into this, and while they are not HD the picture is more than acceptable, off the air signal is HD to every set.

Honestly I usually purchase a different make for such things. For any number of reasons that wasn't going to happen, I found this and gave it a whirl. My guys installed and were happy as clams.
