This was an excellent book for a couple reasons. The author explains the different forms of channeling, giving exercises on developing those abilities, and, more importantly, he explains why Mr. Cayce chose to become one with his "Higher Self" in order to become more attuned to those who sought his assistance, rather than channeling other entities. The author also gives many examples from his own life of various means of channeling, or connecting with other realms----both within and without. This is definitely a worthwhile book....And I have read over 400 books in the spiritual/metaphysical category.

Henry Reed shares amazing insight into Cayce's ability to channel his higher self. There is much in the book to give anyone searching for a broader understanding of this gift, a great outline on how we can delve into this world ourselves. One of my favorite quotes from Henry was something his father used to say to him, "The map is not the territory." When I first read that, I had to think about its meaning, but it is amazingly deep AND spot on!

I would HIGHLY recommend this book to anyone that wants to tune into the best part of themselves!! There is lots of helpful advice, exercises and information.

I love Edgar Cayce and the way Henry Reed expresses himself and brings his and Cayce's points and messages to the table. I just finished this book and am looking forward to finding more of his books.

I have studied meditation and taken many "psychic" development classes but this book is the best roadmap to understanding the process that I have ever read. Henry Reed is a great teacher, and removes much of the myth and superstition from the process as well as makes it clear that you dont have to "go up", ask an angel or guide, the answer is within you and the connection is always there--between you and how you process your God. Loved this book and would highly recommend it.

Henry Reed credits Edgar Cayce as an inspiration for the information contained in this book, and shares details on how to manifest higher self insights in for assistance in achieving goals. The following is some of the unique details included in "Channeling Your Higher Self"

1) Intuition as a Channel of Guidance: Information is shared on how to develop intuition even more (pgs. 17-46) through such tips as spending more time in nature.
2) Meeting Your Higher Self: It was very informative to find out that the appearance of a wise teacher giving you some helpful advice in your dreams is often the symbolic representation of your higher self (pg. 52)
3)Dream Incubation: Opening the Channel: Details are shared on how to use dreams as further resources in actively seeking help in whatever answers you may have (pg. 63).
4) Preparing to Channel a Dream of Guidance (pg. 66): There are details shared in how to make the preparations to manifest the guidance that you personally seek for any answers to personal questions.
5) Answers from the higher self: There are some details listed on how to use the medium of writing to facilitate the communication and connection with your own spirit (pg. 129).
6) A Spiritual Appreciation for Art: Henry Reed discusses Cayce's suggestions to look at great works of art and listening to music as a couple of ways (and in my humble opinion creative and fun ideas) to connect your physical body with your higher self (pg. 141). I really enjoyed this suggestion because I already have a high appreciation for both art and music.
7) The Visionary Channel of the Imagination (pgs. 155-184) and Being Yourself: The Ultimate Form of Channeling (pgs. 293-308): The Visionary Channel of the Imagination contains helpful information of the role of imagination and creative visualization in connecting with your higher self (including good tips on how to do so). Being Yourself: The Ultimate Form of Channeling gives great information on how channeling can teach self-esteem and the importance of believing in yourself in order to become a more powerful channel. The author gave some persuasive information on how focused service can also help one connect even closer to their soul.

Overall, there is much more fantastic information that what I just listed here in this preview. This book is a must have if you are looking at a guide to connect with your higher self through various multi-dimensional/spiritual angles.

I absolutely loved this book. I have read quite a bit on higher self and channeling and this book is the best.

Henry Reed is an excellent writer and will certainly keep your attention all along. Thanks to his extensive references I discovered many more interesting books which I am now buying. What was nice about him is that he covers nearly all aspects on channeling and explains how channeling your higher self is the best route to take. Inspired by Edgar Cayce's teachings he mentions that simply opening yourself up and channeling other entities will not really help in your personal growth. There are plenty of people channeling high beings and there is enough material to last people multiple lifetimes and the message is essentially the same. What is important is growing through the channeling process and Henry reed explains exactly how to do that.

I highly recommend this book and it made me get a clear idea of what I want to do. This book was so good that I ended up buying other books of his including "Getting help from your Dreams" and "Your mind: Unlocking your hidden powers" which is another great book and for which I will write a review once I am finished with it.
