These pliars have great grip on the right size fastens, but there is a gap in size in which is can grip. These pliars grip fastners and studs at the bottom of its size range well, and when it is sliped over to the next slot it grabs fastens near the top of its size range well, but the the fastens in the middle of the size range do not work well on either setting.

The best channellock nutbester is the 410, it uses the channel lock style adjustment which gives smaller incriments, and is sized well, it has treamendous grip and almost never slips. The channellock joing on the 410 uses 2 teeth to make it extra stong.

The 307 is probably only best if you need to remove bots or studs less than 5/16 of an inch. slipping the joint over allows for doing larger fasteners, but at that point the fastens are getting so large you should you use the 410 pliars which will give better grip and leverage.

My husband said he has always used channel lock pliers when he needed to remove a subborn fastener, this particular style he ordered from a recomendation of a professional mechanic friend when he had a round fastener he needed to remove , The old flat style would not remove a round fastener, or he did not have the strength , this style of channel lock is designed to work on round or odd shaped fasteners , They did an excellent job , He loves new tools ,,

This tool has a narrow range of uses, but for those instances, this tool is a must. Handy for turning items that sideways jaws have restricted movement. The hardened edges of this tool really dig into softer metals reducing slippage when turning.

This design is great for removing small nuts that are stuck or rounded out especially corroded battery terminal nuts. I don't typically use any type of pliers on undamaged nuts since the serrated jaws will damage and round off the corners making the nuts unusable but if it is already damaged then this design makes for easy removal. They have a slip joint design to open the jaws but I will probably never use them for larger nuts since you can't get enough leverage. This design in my opinion is only useful for smaller sizes with the 7 inch handles. The quality of the tool is typical Channellock but my pair arrived with small rust spots around the pivot point and one side of the rivet. At first I thought it may have occurred after it was manufactured but after closer inspection it is obvious that the lacquer used for corrosion control was sloppily applied. I was able to dress up the tool and apply some fresh clear coat but you should not have to do that for brand new shiny USA made tools. I have purchased over $200 of Channellock's in the past month and will continue to do so but after my recent buys I will only make future purchases at brick & mortar stores so I can see beforehand what I am buying because I would never buy a rusty tool for full price. That is my only reason for the 4 star review.

I was trying to open up a small piece of aluminum flap that was "glued" shut by corrosion salt on a battery terminal. Try to pry it open with a flat head screwdriver without success and almost dig into my hand. Finally, with the help another pair of pliers, I used this nutbuster parrot head and the sharp teeth dig into the flap and it open up easily, brushing away the salt.

This is a fantastic tool for gripping and prying off thin metal flaps without the benefit of a bench vise out in the field.

Originally, I bought this for gripping a bolt head to prevent it from spinning, while I'm trying to get a nut off in a tight space, and this works as well.

My tools were soaked in rainwater and this Channellock tool is one of those that resisted rust. I use a bit of lubricant to clean the surface rust and it looks like new again.

I do a lot of brake lines and these things are better than any flare wrench when it comes to a rusty worn out fitting.307 and 410 channellocks are must haves in automotive.

It's hard to say I love a tool. They mean work. But, this one is just as fine as the set my Dad got 50 years ago.
