In my job, I need a really good diagonal cutter. My favorite tool brand is Knipex (pricey... but very good stuff). I do own a higher quality cutter from Knipex that also works great, but I still prefer using my Channellock cutter for my day to day work. In the past I have tried to use the $5.00 type cutters (super low end stuff you typically find at Home Depot) due to a constant rust issue in my kind of work. I eventually realized that it just doesn't pay to use cheap cutters. The Channellock cutter is super sharp with great leverage and it cuts through even larger gauge wires like knife through butter. It is also easier to remove rust and lubricate. I also get a kick when someone borrows my Channellock and then gets blown away by how easily it cuts through wires... they usually say stuff like, "boy are these things sharp!"

They've taken everything I've thrown at them. They're tough, built well, affordable and still made in the US. Nuff said.

I bought a pair of these cutters this week to replace an old pair of Kleins that I'd recently broken. I love the way the joint is way overbuilt, and the "knife and anvil" style cutting system is built to last.

They're a bit more expensive than most options, but I expect that they'll prove to be worth it, and then some.

These cutters are bulletproof. The blades are undamaged after cutting many stainless steel springs. I have owned cheaper cutters, they are not worth the cost savings. Buy these Channellocks... you will not be disappointed!

I've purchased a couple of sets of the cheaper tools at both Home Depot and Lowes. The pliers are OK, but, I've broked the wire cutters from both sets.

I'm slowly replacing everything with Channellock tools. They cost a little more, but, I'm not worried about busting my knuckles or cutting a finger.

Nice cutters. I bought these for work. I work on wire braiding machines. These are good quality for the price. Less than half the price of klein which are industry standard. I have other channel lock tools and the quality is good.
