I am a truck driver and a long time do it yourselfer and there are many times that I need to make repairs on the truck in order to keep working, I have used Channellock tools for years and they have never let me down and I am sure these wire strippers will last for a long time.
Amazon has never failed to deliver quality products fast but also at a great price.

I had an old wire stripper and decided to buy a new wire stripper by channellock. Channellock did not disappoint. It stripped wires much easier once compared to my old wire stripper. Quality tool. Very sharp. I would recommend.

This is a well made tool at little $$.
Buy the best tools you can afford, they always make doing tasks that involve them easier to accomplish than some of the crappy stuff out there.

Channellock have been making tools for decades, and the new ones are just as well made as the older ones. They may cost a bit more, but they'll last generations. I still have some of my father's Channelocks, and they work just as well as the day he bought them. These strippers are well designed, and also have a crimper which makes them even handier. Big enough handles to provide good leverage and comfortable grip without being unnecessarily large. One complaint: I wish they went up to at least an 8 AWG, 6 would be even better.

This thing looks great on paper, but the strippers on the bottom do not come together tooth to tooth, they are more of a scissors type action. Over the past 2 months I've had to strip and crimp about 10 wires at work, and this stripper hasn't worked on any of them. I used a cheaper model off-brand for ages, kind of dissapointing that something with a good name on it won't work for me.

These are a great pair of wire strippers/crimpers. The fit of the two halves is perfect. i have no problems cutting or stripping wires with the indicated sizes or sometimes even out of that range. I particularly like the grips, they have a little give to them which makes using them over the course of the day more comfortable than comparable pairs I have used in the past.
