400+ Channels but how many will fit at one time? The "old" Roku 2 is pitiful-attempts to add more channels after the first few gives a "memory full" message. Is this new unit the same? Is there a slot for an SAD chip to expand memory?
If not, who cares how many channels are "available"? This is especially irksome since it seems that YouTube is still not one of the choices

I think you're talking about the Roku 1, which had a limit on the size/number of channels installed. The Roku 2's have no limit, they will download a channel as necessary if it's not already installed in the unit's memory. Some units have a slot for an SD card to install more memory, but that's usually only necessary if you have a large number of channels that you use frequently.

So ... back to the question, how many channels will this unit store?
