5.0 out of 5 stars Order before it is too late!, October 20, 2005
By

This review is from: Le Chant de Virgile (Classical Poetry in Renaissance Music) (Audio CD)
Many of the small compositions here are intellectually stimulating, others are touching, some are both - and all are beautiful.
One of many great performances by Huelgas Ensemble and its director Paul Van Nevel. Much of their CDs are sadly out of print, so I recommend to order this one before it is too late!

5.0 out of 5 stars Le Chant de Virgile (Classical Poetry in Renaissance Music), September 18, 2011

This review is from: Le Chant de Virgile (Classical Poetry in Renaissance Music) (Audio CD)
Le Chant de Virgile (Classical Poetry in Renaissance Music) is a 2001 Harmonia Mundi recording under the direction of Paul Van Nevel who leads the Huelgas-Ensemble. Paul Van Nevel has written the music notes. Derek Yeld has translated them into English. All the lyrics are available. A perfect mix of classical poetry combined with Renaissance music. Highly recommended indeed. 5/5
