Product Description

Amazon.com Review

Many cookware manufacturers have introduced lines featuring enameled exteriors but Chantal enameled cookware is one of the long-standing originals, providing both excellent performance and colorful flair for your kitchen. This 4-quart soup pot has a gorgeous, high-quality German-made enameled interior and exterior that are resistant to chipping and fading, easy to clean, and encased in stainless-steel rims for added durability. In addition, the nonporous enamel won’t absorb food odors or flavors. A heavy-gauge carbon steel core gives the pan substantial heft and heats up faster than ordinary cookware. This petite soup pot is just the right size to simmer soup for four, boil a ½-pound of pasta or six Russet potatoes, or poach four pears. The pot can also be teamed up with Chantal’s 2-quart steamer insert to steam vegetables. The steel-rimmed, tempered glass lid has a high, domed shape and is transparent so you can cook without removing the lid and letting steam escape. The lid is oven-safe to 375 degrees Fahrenheit and, without the lid, this pan is oven- and broiler-safe up to the highest temperatures. The soup pot has sturdy enamel loop handles on either side for carrying this from stove to tabletop for serving. In the event that there are leftovers, this cookware is safe for the freezer, plus it is dishwasher-safe for easy cleaning. This cookware is safe for use on traditional, ceramic, and magnetic induction stovetops. Chantal offers a lifetime warranty on the enamel coating. --Cristina Vaamonde

Product Description

Chantal has been producing the world’s leading enamel-on-steel cookware for 25 years now, and along the way we’ve learned that beauty is only skin deep. Chantal’s enamel-on-steel cookware is developed from an age-old recipe that through the years has been perfected to keep pace with today’s demanding lifestyles. Enamel-on-steel is made by fusing colored glass to metal - melted together at just the right degree creates a new compound that’s durable and corrosion-resistant. In fact, it’s so tough that it’s used in high-traffic locales like roadway tunnels and subway stations. The “A” quality enamel used by Chantal is resistant to acids and alkalines and is made from natural materials, such as sand and minerals. Because the surface is nonporous, it is naturally stick-resistant, non-reactive to acidic foods and nonabsorbent to oils. This, coupled with the unique characteristic to withstand freezing temperatures, makes Chantal well-suited for make-ahead meals. But the benefits don’t stop in the kitchen. Our Cook & Serve pieces are designed to go beautifully from the oven or stovetop to the table or buffet. The beautiful colors are guaranteed to make your tabletop beautiful and are ideal for entertaining.

5.0 out of 5 stars Chantal Four-Quart Soup Pot, January 23, 2009
This is the second of these pots we have owned. The first was a very durable, useful pot. The size and enamel-on-steel construction made it large enough to cook pasta or soup on top of the stove and strong enough to cook a pot roast in the oven, but small enough to fit easily into a dishwasher. The glass top allows you to monitor cooking without releasing heat.

5.0 out of 5 stars CHANTAL ENAMEL 4QT. SOUP POT WITH GLASS LID - WHITE, November 12, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I purchased this soup pot for my sister. She was totally stunned at her surprise gift and absolutely LOVED IT! She has never had a ''soup pot'' and is an incredible cook. She immediately called me from California (I live in Michigan) to tell me what she planned to cook in it!!. This turned out to be an incredible gift that my sister will treasure for years to come. I told her that a ''bowl of soup is a healing thing.'' The quality was ''first class'' and Amazon packaged it carefully for delivery......Consuelo T. Gabriel

This review is from: Chantal Enamel-On-Steel 4-Quart Soup Pot with Glass Lid, Cobalt Blue (Kitchen)

I trust this manufacturer. I have a few frying pans by them and I got a small chip in one. Called them. Gave them the date of purchase, and from whom purchased. They told me to throw my old pan away and sent me a new one to replace it free of charge. I let the pans soak when washing and they come out well. Love the size of the 4-quart soup pot. Good luck.
