Chantal Jasmine Tea Cup Set of Two, 6 Ounces Each, Semi Gloss Black

These teacups are very nice looking. The Semi-Gloss black is a perfect match for my new tea kettle, and the asian design is pleasing to look at.

However, for the first con I wish to quote Jordan Edwards', as he put it perfectly

"For their size, they seem to offset the weight of the contents a bit more than expected. On two occasions in the few days I have been using them I have managed to spill the contents on myself by misjudging how full it was and thus how fast I could move it."

These cups do suffer from this, and it is almost guaranteed that if you swirl the cup, or just have not so perfect balance it will most likely spill a few times till you get used to this.

The other major con comes from the package: "Satin exterior finish stays cool while glosssy interior keeps beverages warm." While it does seem to be fine at keeping the beverages warm, the exterior stays anything but cool. Not only does the cup get hot quickly, but by the time I finish pouring any hot tea into this cup, the cup is basically too hot to touch.

Overall: Good looking, and if your careful it will work fine. However, do expect to spill a few times, and don't expect this cup to stay cool if you want any form of hot tea.

I am quite picky when it comes to drinking vessels, especially when it comes to tea. When I added these to my cart to fulfill the 4for3 promotion, I fully expected them to end up as nothing more than a catch all for pocket change on my desk.

I could not have been more wrong. In fact, I will probably end up having to order a few more just to phase out my old glasses.

These cups are beautiful in a simple Zen kind of way and a fun way to sip some Jasmine or Earl Grey. My husband is an artist and thought they would look good in one of his still life paintings.

These are beautiful little cups. Unfortunately the lip of the cup is broad and rounded which makes drinking out of them a challenge if you don't want to drip tea down your shirt. Others have complained about the weight of the cup but I find them light enough to use but heavy enough that I don't feel like I'm going to knock them over if I blow on them. Basically I like a little heft to my teacups.

Overall a good cup for sitting and contemplating your tea, not so much for casual sipping at a desk.

I really like the look and feel of these tea cups.

The 6 oz size is just right.

The box says "Satin exterior finish stays cool while glossy interior keeps beverages warm". Unfortunately this is not the case. If your beverage is quite hot the cup will become too hot to hold. This is not a problem for me because I use these for green tea with water temperature well below boiling but it's something you should be aware of when deciding whether or not these are right for you.

Do I really need to say more? Dishwasher safe for the win! No spots or anything. And they are the little, right size I wanted.

I am not a picky person. I love these cups. They look beautiful despite some uneven finishing. They can be a bit difficult to get used to but are thick enough to not heat up too much. (I have yet to burn my hand)

If you are looking for a perfect tea cup keep moving but if you a looking for a great looking great feeling cup they are worth the bucks.

These are nice tea cups. They keep tea at a good temperature and feel nicely weighted.

You have to let cool before holding the cup -- too hot. (I guess I should have expected this, with no handles.) However, I like the style and they go well with my tea pot.

I ordered these for a holiday gift and hoped they'd get here in one piece. The packing was exceptional and they came snug, safe, and sound.

The cups are a good shape and size, but as it's been said before you have to think about how to move them or you'll slosh. The thickness of the ceramic is enough to hold together, but not enough to annoy.
