The Story of Chantal
The most-renowned name in enamel-on-steel cookware today, U.S.-based Chantal Cookware was the first to bring to the world's market dramatic color, tempered-glass lids, stay-cool handles, and environmentally friendly cookware for cooking, serving, and storing.
Chantal's enamel is the highest-quality AA enamel, engineered in Germany by craftsmen who have passed the tradition of superb enameling production from generation to generation. Chantal was founded in 1979 by Heida Thurlow, who initially designed Chantal's products. She has received 26 design and utility patents from the U.S. and Germany for innovative teakettle and cookware designs. Trained as an engineer, Thurlow has the distinction of being the first woman in the U.S. to launch and run a cookware company.
Ideal for the modern family, Chantal's original line of enamel-on-steel cookware provides a chemical-free, energy-efficient, naturally stick-resistant way to cook on any stovetop, including magnetic-induction stoves. The nonporous surfaces of this cookware makes it the ideal choice for healthy cooking. All Chantal cookware is specifically designed to go from freezer to stove to table and then directly into the dishwasher.
Chantal continues to create products for healthy cooking, which include lines of eco-friendly bakeware, kitchen accessories, and cookware. All of Chantal's products are produced without compromising the state of our planet's ecosystem. Since 1991 Chantal has implemented programs to reduce waste and reuse materials.
