Chante is back !!! And excellent as always., July 31, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Chante's Got a Man (Audio CD)
I first got introduced to Chante's music back in the summer of 93 on the Precious album. And since then I have followed her career. I think that she continues to evolve into one of the most powerful soul divas on the scene today. Her latest work just shows more of what I have come to love, wonderful lyrics, great music, and a fabulous voice. If you have never heard Chante, do yourself a favor and give her your ear. She knows how to handle the rest. Lan

"Chante is got a man " is bad..., June 24, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Chante's Got a Man (Audio CD)
"Chante is bad because she suprises many of us. She came out with this single which according to me It's a bomb. She is still the woman of the 90's but kept the tradition of man kind i.e. RESPECTING a man.Over and above this single is very bad "Chante is got a man".....The single"Old school Lovin'" is the one that protrays the real "Chante". This one according to me potrays her from Childhood to mature lady.Is also good to listen to,it takes you from stress mood to good mood.....

I agree: Haters stop hatin', June 23, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Chante's Got a Man (Audio CD)
How could a woman announcing any blessings in her life be "silly" or "syrupy." Don't you realize that God is the only one who will determine whether you will spend the rest of your life alone; without anyone to call your own? Not to say that this would not be the best thing for some of us! But when a woman wants to express fulfillment and happiness over something that many of us long for---someone to love---don't hate! Just congratulate. And the comment over Chante's longevity in this industry; her not being thought of in twenty years and she is not a good lead vocalist---more hatred! Don't hate, congratulate or better yet participate and get someone for yourself so that maybe you could be singing, too. Love your music Chante and I have each one of your CD's from Precious to your most current. Best wishes w/Kadeem and your beautiful baby girl. God bless.

The song is hot chante!! Haters, stop hating!!!, June 18, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Chante's Got a Man (Audio CD)
I think that chante' has a great lead voice and can blow with some of the best with them. I feel everyone should have their own opinion. But it seems that you are not listening to the content of the song. There is a message to be heard. That is that there are good men out there and you just have to take your time to look. Keep on keeping on Chante'. Good luck with the album.

I'm glad that Chante is singing about the good men. There are some good men out here that take very good care of their families and don't mind being at home, or helping out with things around the house and the children.

"THIS MOMENT IS MINE" MAY BE A SELF-FUFILLING PROPHECY, June 10, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Chante's Got a Man (Audio CD)
This is not meant to be a personal attack on Ms. Moore or her fans, however, it's obvious that marketing is what brought this album into the fore front of the r&b charts because unfortunately, Chante's vocals do not transfer into being a lead vocalist. She sounds much better when she is heard backing up Aretha Franklin on "Hurts Like Hell" from the "Waiting to Exhale" soundtrack. She's a superb back up singer. And although she getting lots of radio and video play, her music is not timeless. In other words, people will not be singing her music 20 years from now. (Ie: her music will not will not have the longevity of soul classics like Aretha Franklin's "Respect" and Chaka Khan's "Tell Me Something Good)." Chante' is very pretty and should stick to modeling because as her cd title says, "This Moment is Mine." And from the looks of it, her musical career is just that.............a moment.
