Even better than vol 1,
By Creative Force "Susan" (Washington D.C.) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Chanting Om Vol. II - Splendor of Yoga (Audio CD)
I love the original CD from the series, but this one is even better.
For starters, instead of a continuous wall of sound, you get beautiful waves of the sound of om chanted by a group of singers. In track 1 you get Om chanted the traditional way as AUM and in the second track it is chanted as Om. (The Aum when you chant it continuously becomes Om, they are one and the same) I feel this version is more gentle and beautiful. Also I love the instruments and the sound of the ocean waves in the background. This is now my favorite recording to meditate with.

Fantastic CD,

This review is from: Chanting Om Vol. II - Splendor of Yoga (MP3 Download)
I've been meditating for the last few years and have always searched for music that would deepen my practice. Most of the music I've heard for meditation has been a hindrance to my practice, so finding this album was a blessing. The subtle energies that emerge from the gorgeous chanting and natural ocean waves works its magic and lets my mind fade away. Thank you for producing such a powerful CD.

A gem of a recording,
By herenow "Shanti" (Toronto) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Chanting Om Vol. II - Splendor of Yoga (Audio CD)
This is a gem of a recording, definitely my favorite to meditate with.
The voices are really beautiful and I like the two--both correct--ways to chant the maha mantra of OM. In one track the mantra is chanted as AUM and the other is chanted as OM. Also there are very nice subtle sounds that complement the Om chanting very well such as ocean waves, the sound of the swaramandala and the ektar, a wonderful instrument from India.
