I ordered Magnitude 9 (Chaos to Control) after sampling on Amazon.com. Never heard them, never heard of them. I was immediately blown away. This is a rocker!Magnitude 9 epitomizes all thats right with progressive metal. A tremendous vocal performance by Corey Brown. He's a PRP'er, baby! Power.Range.Passion. Rob Johnson not only turns in a hero-worthy guitar effort but also writes, arranges, mixes and co-produces this classic. Rob's guitar work is nicely complimented by Joe Glean's virtuoso performance on keyboards. Drummer John Homan is decidedly not asleep at the wheel and Kevin Chown provides everything you could ask for in a bass player (or a cheap date), good bottom and he puts out.If you're not convinced you need this CD, the band thanks Michael Romeo (Symphony X) & David Chastain (guitar deity extrordinaire), a much higher recommendation than anything I could write.Chaos to Control is an essential, especially for fans of Artension, Symphony X, Angra, Dream Theater (Awake, Images & Words era). Cobain-ites need not apply.

if you like melodic / progressive metal ....with touches of neoclassical...buy this cd.... it has great vocals...shredding guitars...super keyboad shredding...etc ...most of all some good catchy/hook driven songs. listeners of yngwie malmsteen/fates warning/symphonyx/artension/queensryche... .check out MAGNITUDE 9

This CD is a great debut ! .....it reminds me of bands like Elegy , TNT , Fates Warning , some Yngwie , etc....fans of melodic/powerfull/progressive metal type music , will enjoy this disc - brian kelner

This is a pretty good debut cd indeed ....... its good to see talented metal bands still exist ! ....I recomend this cd ,...if you appriciate new,upcoming groups ....you should like MAGNITUDE 9 ...they remind me of queensryche in some ways ..other ways ...like yngwie malmsteen ...other ways dream theater ...all rolled into one ,....Ill give it 4 STARS.

MAGNITUDE 9 "CHAOS TO CONTROL" - [ review] ...........Absolutely brilliant musicianship from this Ohio based band that includes PsycoDrama lead singer - Corey Brown, guitarist - Rob Johnson , keyboardist - Joseph Anastacio Glean , bassist - Kevin Chown , & John Homan....on drums. I would call them progressive metal....without being too progressive to enjoy. They are a cross between TNT and DREAM THEATER, very heavy guitars at times, layered with stunning solos from Rob. This cd is very recomended .....Its so great to hear powerful music again !

MAGNITUDE 9 is a great new band ,....the singer is great....a shredding guitar & keyboard performance....& the drums & bass are tight & heavy......My favorite songs are : "After Tomarrow"...."Dont Say"......."Y2K"......& ....."Another World"........I suggest everyone that Listens to melodic metal....check out this group!.......a impressive DEBUT ! ..good job guys.

MAGNITUDE 9 ,....has really impressed me ! ......I took a chance on this cd ,.....& im loving it !....a good blend of melody,.....lots of ripping ,....and well structured, catchy songs ,.......Im looking foward to the next MAGNITUDE 9 release !!! ......If you havent heard them yet ,......get this debut !

I was really impressed with MAGNITUDE 9 - "CHAOS TO CONTROL"...... this cd is a must for fans/listeners of melodic-progressive metal !!!.....a great debut ....from a great new band on the scene . I think they have a style all to themselves ......I hear influences of great artists such as FATES WARNING ---QUEENSRYCHE---DREAM THEATER---YNGWIE MALMSTEEN , etc..in the music of MAGNITUDE 9 .
