This piece is definitely not for the weak of heart nor is it for those looking for a good time. This is ambiant, technical, tense noise that is brilliantly done with nothing but a guitar, a drumset, a gong and angsty, horror-movie esq screams.
This is for fans of Tribes of Neurot or SUNNO))). This album will send your senses and your emotions soaring...it is a bad acid trip of a record.

I've tried to follow James Plotkin's post OLD projects as best I can, and while there have been some mild disappointments (Atom/Phamtomsmasher), James rarely lets you down. If you're new to his music, I wouldn't recommend Khlyst as a starting point, but fans of OLD and Khanate should love this record. Like Khanate, it's challenging listening, but for Plotkinites like myself, it's very rewarding.

This is what the Devil would sound like if he started a droney metal band. Too bad the Devil isn't that good at this kind of metal.
