Assembly is piecemeal by torsos, limbs, and armaments, as is usual for a Warhammer 40,000 set, so you can be sure your squad will be unique. The berserkers are a good unit, and an excellent addition to any Chaos Space Marine army. They look good and at 12 to a box, they're a great value as well. As for educational value, well, making models is an art project, and playing with them properly involves lots of math, right?
The only criticism I have is that the sprues are short on options. Granted, berserkers don't have a lot of options in their army list, but if you want to make a skull champion to lead the unit you're not going to find much to make him stand out. The plasma pistols are a pain to attach as well. My advice is to root around in your bitz box for better parts, or even make a normal CSM aspiring champion and then paint him appropriately.
