The chaoptic card series is an interesting new card series that ensures loads of fun. A pack comes with everything you need to start playing:
-6 creature-cards
-6 battlegear-cards
-6 mugic-cards
-10 location-cards
-20 attack-cards
-4 random rare cards that make every pack a little unique
THE BACKGROUND:In the world of chaotic, four tribes are fighting for power and the cothica (a mythical powersource). The tribes are the Overworlders(often humanoid creatures), the Underworlders(resembling beasts and monsters), the Mipedians(lizard-like creatures who often can turn invisible) and the Danians(ant-creatures with a collective hive-mind). Each tribe is always trying to discover new ways to get the upperhand in battle.
GAMEPLAY:The players play the creatures of tribes during battles. First you pick the size of the battle, ranging from a 1-on-1 Battle to the typical 6-on-6 Batlle, but not stopping there. You can make the battles larger with more cards, as long as the field is still a diamond. My brother and me have even gone up to 36-on-36. That took quite a while to play, but still loads of fun. After determining the size of the battle, the players pick the respective amount of creatures. Every creature has stats(energy, courage, strength, wisdom, speed) that can vary in a short range, making even the same creature unique. Each ceature then gets one battlegear-often a weapon or a vehicle. Next you pick mugics in the same amount as you have creatures. Mugics (magic + music) are tunes composing of seven notes that give creatures boosts to their atributes or have other effects that turn the tides of battle to your advantage. After that you pick 10 locations ranging from Mount-pillar (the home of the danian-tribe) over the Gloomuck-swamps(swamps that will boost earth-attacks) to the Overworld library(the library in Kiru city that favours wiose creatures). Each location is where one of the battles during the game takes place. The location will determine which creature gets the first strike and gives bonuses or handicaps. Last you pick your attack-cards. Every part includes some tactical planning. If you use creatures that all have high wisdom, then your locations should give your wisdom-creatures an advantage and your attacks should use wisdom, otherwise you won't be able to deal much damage. Do you want to use your battlegear to make your strengths stronger or do you want to cover your weaknesses instead? There's almost unending possibilities!!
WHAT'S SPECIAL:Each card has a code that lets you scan the card on the internet. The internet duplicates are used to play and trade just like the real cards. That way you can play against players all over the world and discover ways to make your deck even better!
All in all this card game is lots of fun and you won't want to stop playing, collecting and trading. It's sure to be a good purchase!!
