This thing is really a 2G dock and barely fits the 3G or 3GS. You really have to push to get it to fit. I had bought this to replace my 2G iPhone dock and received this which was nearly an identical version (but non Apple) and not anywhere close to the shape sold by Apple for the 3G/3GS.

On a positive note, Apple's 2G dock didn't fit my 3GS at all. This one did, but like I said you really have to give it a little push and it fits really really tight.

You get what you pay for, but I was expecting the shape to match the 3G/3GS and it doesn't.

I bought this dock, it has a tight fit for 3GS and needs pushing. It worked for a week and now failed, may be due to the force needed to make contacts with iPhone.

I suggest not to buy this item for 3GS.

Yeah, it looks like the one from Apple, but it isn't. The fit on my 3Gs was way too tight and the plastic had a petroleum smell. In addition, the connector on the back was mounted upside-down. Also, the unit needs more weight, it's way too light. The company was great though and gave me a full refund so I was only out the cost to ship it back.

Just what I wanted, just when I wanted it. Just what I expect and usually get when I deal through Amazon.

Neither the cable or the cradle worked. The refund I'd get isn't worth the time and effort it would take to repackage it and send it back.

I'm using this with my 1st generation and it works as advertised.
Doesn't feel cheap, has it's own cable,... what else can I say :)

If you like chargers all over your house and office like I do then these are great but for "charging only" ..u can sync, but not always trouble free, so to sync I highly recommend an original apple dock, Oh you will need this too => www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d.html?a=B000A2BLEC

I Really liked the iPhone Dock. Fit perfectly and looks awesome when charging. I use it when I sync it to my Laptop..

well it works like its advertised and it comes with the cable witch is awesome i have to run out and buy a new able witch you have to do that if u get the Apple Dock from the iPhone 3G i also saw a line out witch is cool if u have speakers near by u can connect them but all u need a cable shield to block the GSM interference and your good to go!
