A little too much. If you know some boating this is ok for home
on February 7, 2011
Well this book is great, but for something on my sailboat it actually has too much if you ask me. I could do without the chapters on hull design and all that. Most boaters know hull types. The history of whom has written this book is also not needed, interesting, but for a hands on book in my own boat library too much paper used for my liking. I find the book an effort to read in run on chapters too much give me less. Like by page 31 you are just geting into sailboat boat types. There has to be a better book with less fluff that would make a better reference book for on your boat. Great looking book, nice pictures but way over kill on the run on chapters. Will read and put back up for sale when done I am sure. Need an editor to chop the size of this thing in half if you ask me. I cannot see anyone making a dollar of profit selling this giant hard copy 928 page book for twenty nine bucks at West Marine on sale. Great price for the encylopedia of boating is what I will call this book. A tough slug of a read to me.
