I love MMJ. They are one of the best and most underrated bands out there. This is a collection of their early stuff (95-97). Some of the recording quality is a little ruff but that is so easily overlooked when the songs are as amazing as they are. If you are a fan than you must buy this album, along with Vol. 2 of this collection.

Well I just found about them, so I see them as new. Entertainment Weekly had an aritcle about various bands and they included My Morning Jacket as one of the best. So I decided to try them out. I was VERY MUCH IMPRESSED with their "sound". Either doing their songs or others they are really "fresh" and clear. I found their sound penetrates when you really listen to the words and the skill of their instrument playing. NO load Bumm Bang Buams, no shouting, but lots of spirit. This may not make sense to some of you, yet if you want something rocky yet edgy yet clear. These are the guys.
