5.0 out of 5 stars Not as good as Family Scriptures, but still tight.....
This is the second installment of the Mo Thugs family. Their first album, "Family Scriptures," is a brilliantly constructed MASTERPIECE. This album is very good, but not a masterpiece. 5.0 out of 5 stars Not as good as Family Scriptures, but still tight....., March 2, 2000
This review is from: Chapter II: Family Reunion (Audio CD)
This is the second installment of the Mo Thugs family. Their first album, "Family Scriptures," is a brilliantly constructed MASTERPIECE. This album is very good, but not a masterpiece. Standout trax on here include "Mighty Mighty Warrior," "Mighty Mo Thug" (by the EXTREMELY slept-on Souljah Boy), "All Good" (despite the played-out term, this is a nice upbeat track), "U Don't Own Me" (although it starts to drag slightly, still a nice track), and "Otherside." "Riot" by Flesh Bone is a well-constructed track showcasing his slept-on skills. "Ain't Said No Names" is Krayzie Bone's solo. Although it's nowhere near as good as "Mo Murder" (his solo on Family Scriptures), it's still a nice track. The only trax I really could've done without on here are "Believe" (despite what Krayzie might say, these guys are not the next Jackson 5), and "The Queen," which features the whiny-voiced Thug Queen. She has upped her skills noticeably since this, but on here she was a major ear-bleed. Also, Powder ruins "Ghetto Cowboy," a track that could've been classic without his ten seconds of nonsense. In the end, this album is definitely a worthy buy. If you don't already have Family Scriptures, buy that NOW, then if you have some cash left over, pick this up. You most likely won't be disappointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of Bones most solid efforts....., February 25, 2000
This review is from: Chapter II: Family Reunion (Audio CD)
Not as strong as E.1999 Eternal or Art Of War, but just as strong as the solos and Creepin On Ah Come Up. This cd is a continuation of Family Scriptures with some brand new talent from Scant, Felecia, MT5, and Thug Queen. Again, Bone represents well on this cd like Family Scriptures. The beats are not as well produced on here as in Family Scriptures, but the lyrics are more thought out. This can be seen in "Urban Soulja" from Graveyard Shift, "All Good" from Felecia and Krayzie Bone, and "Riot" from Flesh n Bone. This album has alot of "cloudy, sad songs" on it, as the album is very family oriented and talks of pain and struggle. There are some bangers too though, such as "Mighty Mo Thug" from Soulja Boy and Layzie Bone, and "Aint Said No Names" from Krayzie Bone. Aint Said no Names sounds like an Art Of War type song. This album has the same weakness as Family Scriptures: NO bizzy bone. But Krayzie, Layzie, Flesh, and Wish represent well on here, along with the new talent they brought in. Ghetto Coyboy was kinda on the corny side, but it (the single) did spend about 12 straight weeks at #1 on the charts, LOL. And it elevated this album to over platinum status. Another good album from the Bone camp.......Pick this one up!

5.0 out of 5 stars Jus' pump yo fist in the air and holla, "MO!", August 11, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Chapter II: Family Reunion (Audio CD)
Bone put together one hell of a family. This CD has a lot of tight tracks on it. I think it is better than the first Mo Thugs Family Scriptures. Like KBone said, they worked together as a family on this album. And we all know Bone and their originality; Ghetto Cowboy is THE most original rap song. Even if you are not a Bone fan, this is a must buy.

4.0 out of 5 stars just as good as the first, May 15, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Chapter II: Family Reunion (Audio CD)
The Mo thugs family is back with another album. Almost all the tracks are slamin except for Getto Cowboy because the song gets reall old and dull real fast. The best track is The Queen, by Thug Queen (a new addition to the mo thug fam.) and fet. Krazy Bone. Another good track is Heart of it. There 1st c.d. was off the wall as well with excellent tracks by Tre, Bone, and 2 tru.

All i have to say is that this album's tight! I like a lot of songs on it but my two favorites are "ALL GOOD" & "GHETTO COWBOY" and like everybody knows "GHETTO COWBOY" was the #1 Rap single for like 8 weeks or something. Go get this album now!

4.0 out of 5 stars The best of Mo Thugs, March 15, 2006
By
This review is from: Chapter II: Family Reunion (Audio CD)
This is by far the best Mo Thugs album. Family Scriptures was good but Family Reunion is much better. I know it has been said before but Ghetto Cowboy is an incredible song. It is not often that you will find such innovation from a rap song. Overall there is alot more talent on Family Reunion then on the groups past efforts. Souljah Boy,The Graveyard Shift, Thug Queen, Felecia and Ken Dawg all make positve contributions to the album. The biggest disapointments came from Poetic Hustlaz,MT5, and Flesh N Bone. I was especially disapointed by the Poetic Hustlaz after hearing how good there solo album Trials and Tribulations was. After Family Reunion it was all downhill for Mo Thugs. I believe it was because Krayzie Bone stopped contributing to the cause and instead started his own Thugline Records.

4.0 out of 5 stars Mo'Thugs II=Off The HOOK!, September 28, 2005
This review is from: Chapter II: Family Reunion (Audio CD)
This cd is a really good assortment of the cleveland based rap group, Mo'Thugs. Their flows are sick, and their beats are the bomb. There is some help from bone, but thats what makes this album a classic. the "singing" style is what makes them original and classic, so go out and get this Awsome album.
