5.0 out of 5 stars One of the best EVER
Ok, i have over 100 rap cds, and this is my personal fav. It doesnt really get started untill song 3, which is more or less an introduction to the 6 actual members of the group(Dj Paul, Juicy J, Lord Infamous, crunchy black, gangsta boo and koopsta knicca), each member has two lines only, and the song is 1:30, but the beat is supurb. 3.0 out of 5 stars Another solid album, but not their best
Three 6 Mafia's 1997 effort "Chpt. 2: World Domination" is a solid album from the Memphis collective. What I like about 3-6 is that their style is totally unique, and that they stay true to their sound; a Three 6 Mafia album from eleven years ago sounds a lot like one from today. "Chpt. 2" shines when the production is at its best. DJ Paul and Juicy J are renowned for...

Song 4 was made strickly for the clubs, great song, especially for a mosh. Song 5(are you ready for us) is one of my personal favs, it features the dayton family. Song 6 features scan man, indo g, mc mac, m-child, project pat and other members of the Prophet posse, solid song. Song 7(motavated)is respectable) song 8 is another personal fav, it goes back to there older wicked styles, Lord infamous has an amazing verse at the end, it sounds like hes gonna run out of breath but just keeps rappin, also crunchy black throughs in a great verse. song 9, is pretty good, song 10 is pretty tight, lord infamous starts the song off with an umbleveable performance. songs11-12-13 are all respectable. Song 14 is a stand out song, its been baned in like 10 states because it started riots in the clubs. Song 15 is great, its a little slower, and was on THE END lp, song 16 is great(body Parts 2) i liked body parts 1 better but b.p. 2 is still mega bumpin, it features k-roc,M-child,Project pat, Scan man and mc mac of the kaze, droopy drew dogg definatly one of the best posse cuts ever. songs 17-18 are both good. Song 19 is a remix from THE END(great song), song 20 is a solo by my hero in the rap game, Lord Infamous, he tells a story of a psycho killer who tries to escape the loony bin but runs into a problem. Songs 21-22 are respectable as well. Best songs are 3,4,5,8,14,15,16 all in all chapter 2 is one of my favs, the end, kazes timez up,prophet posses bodyparts, mystic styles(more underground with the devilish style) are other great albums by three 6, tear the club up thugs is aight, but lord infamous is always screaming, instead of the fast touge twisting style, hopefully he'll go back to the older style, aslo look out for there underground cds, 1,2 and koopstas underground tape which is now nation wide, but thats more mixin, still koop is the 2nd best member(1st when Lord I. is screaming) so its tight if you like the other stuff. Also look out for the new Hypnotized camp posse cd, and i just heard hypnotized minds signed E.D.I. from tupacs outlawz, and kastro may follow. Well, thats my 2 cents Everyone there own

5.0 out of 5 stars an unknown classic, March 10, 2006
This review is from: Chapter 2: World Domination (Audio CD)
i have 10 three 6 mafia cd's and chapter 2: world domination is one of the best cds that i own if not the best. There is a bunch of badass songs on this cd like number 20 (anyone out there) number 19 ( n 2 deep) number 3 (will blast) number 6 (prophet posse) number 8 ( i ain't cha friend) and so on. chapter 2: world domination is an insane record so if you like three 6 or rap music in general, buy this cd. personaly, i think this is there second best record (the end flat out takes the cake) ever made. i'm 20 years old and i've been a loyal and dedicated three 6 mafia fan for about a good 5 years and this cd is unbelievable. three 6 mafia straight up get down on this cd like no other, and all this is coming from an average white kid (and m not a wigger) thats listens to everything. three 6 mafia are my favorite group/artists/producers to ever make music. i think three 6 is better than 2 pac and biggie and everyone else, because their music is so original and creative. so i recommend that anyone who appreciates music then you should buy this cd

4.0 out of 5 stars 3-6 Mafia In Their Prime, May 23, 2005
By
This review is from: Chapter 2: World Domination (Audio CD)
Probably the best 3-6 Mafia album all around, and with the exception of "When The Smoke Clears" their last release of noteworthy material. Probably the most surprising thing about this album was that the shorter skit-type songs are among the best, from the intro "We Are Waiting" to "Will Blast" and finally DJ Paul's laid back classic "Neighborhood Ho"...all of which have that slower chill type beat that makes up the better part of the album. "Late Night Tip" (previously released on "The End") was definitely an added bonus, another great laid back no bull sh** track. The album does have some krazy crunk style songs as well, "Hit A MuthaF****" and "Tear Da Club Up" will get you wanting to break sh** and start fightin muf***as. "Prophet Posse" and "Spill My Blood" are also decent but are examples of why this album isn't 5 stars. Some of the songs are not as good as they could be lyrically, especially when i know i've heard better from 3-6. Definitely a great album but just a little short of perfection.

5.0 out of 5 stars "DEMONIC RAPS + TRUNK RATTLING BEATS = CLASSIC ALBUM", April 14, 2005
This review is from: Chapter 2: World Domination (Audio CD)
Three 6 Mafia's "Ch. 2: World Domination" was the pinnacle of their early sound. A sequel to 1996's "The End," 3-6 came even harder and more aggressive with this release. Although the production is somewhat underground in terms of quality, it works perfectly with the eerie sounding beats and violent lyrics. Every group member comes correct, including Gangsta Boo and Koopsta Knicca. As always, Lord Infamous steals the show with his rapid delivery and drug-fueled wordplay. The first standout track is "Hit a Mutha*****," which features one of the best beats to ever come out of Memphis. One of my favorite tracks is "3-6 in the Morning," which samples the beat from Ice T's similarly titled "6' N the Mornin'." "Tear da Club Up '97," which is also the album's lead single, may be the most famous rap to ever to come out of Memphis. The album concludes with an anthem for the blunt smokers, "Weed Is Got Me High." BOTTOMLINE: Ch. 2: World Domination is the monumental effort of 3-6's early work.

5.0 out of 5 stars This album is the bomb in this prissy white girl's opinion!!!, October 25, 2005
By
This review is from: Chapter 2: World Domination (Audio CD)
Chapter 2 was my first introduction to Triple 6. I was living in my small hometown of Marion, Ky and my best friend's boyfriend had one of "the cars that go boom." He was playing this song called 'Late Nite Tip' and I had to know who it was!!! From then on, I was a true 3 6 Mafia fan. Years later, I was living in Memphis, Tn and I would see these guys all over @ local clubs- Memphis really shows a lot of love for these real KINGS OF CRUNK! I like many of their albums, (i.e. Prophet Posse' compilation, When da Smoke Clears and Choices the Soundtrack). But even so, CHAPTER 6 IS BY FAR THE VERY BEST THAT TRIPLE 6 HAS EVER COME WITH!!! It is over 8 years later and that sh*t still sounds so current. In the top 10 rap records of all time, hands down. I know you are thinking, what does this small-town white chick know about rap music? Just check out the cd for yourself and you will see. Other suggestions for fans of that Memphis sound- Eightball & MJG, Tela, Playa Fly (3 6's nemisis), Project Pat, or Kingpin Skinny Pimp, just to name a few. You gotta own this, definatly a classic!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Decent album from 3-6, April 15, 2010

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Chapter 2: World Domination (Audio CD)
Three-6 Mafia drops a decent, 20 song album here. Of the 4 abums of theirs I have ("Unbreakables", "Most Known Unknown", and "Last 2 Walk"), this falls in the bottom tier, but is still a nice 4 star album. This one has 6 members on it: DJ Paul (on 19 songs), Juicy J (on 18 songs), Gangsta Boo & Lord Infamous (on 15 songs), Koopsta Knicca (on 12 songs) and Crunchy Black (on 10 songs). Of the 20, 2 are almost classics, 6 are ok, the other 12 are good, some being real good songs. I'd say it could have been a nice 14-16 song album and leave the few filler tracks off, but it is what it is. Guests pop up on a few songs throughout the album as well. Production, as always on a 3-6 album is nice, and handled exclusively by Juicy J & DJ Paul. As always you're getting some tight, hard hitting beats and some darker songs with alot of street/hustling references and quite a few dirteir songs as well. A nice album for their fans to have in the collection, but I do like some of their other material slightly better.

#3 - 8
#4 - 9 (nice beat)
#5 - 8.5 (f/ Shoestring of Dayton Family)
#6 - 6.5 (f/ Prophet Posse & Project Pat)

#14 - 8.5 (another good beat)

#16 - 9.5 (f/ Project Pat & Prophet Posse -- another real tight beat)

5.0 out of 5 stars 1 word..."Classic", March 2, 2008
This review is from: Chapter 2: World Domination (Audio CD)
What can u say about Chapter 2:World Domination? 1 word, a "Classic". This is probably 3/6 @ their best, including Mystic Styles and Chapter 1 The End. This album starts off w/ a couple of intro tracks, but once it gets into the music, its good from start to finish. The beats are on point on this c.d., from start to finish. 3/6 also upped their lyrics and slowed their flow down, instead of trying to rap like Bone. I like Bone, but let Bone be Bone and 3/6 be 3/6. This c.d. also has some of the last remaining dark sounding beats before they hit mainstream.
When I first heard this c.d., I was like damn, a straight banger right here, not to mention its from 1997, 11yrs old, but still sounds fresh.
So do urself and do music a favor agrab this album, cuz u will never hear 3/6 like this again, never!

This review is from: Chapter 2: World Domination (Audio CD)
This is Three 6 Mafia at their Absolute best! Every song on World Domination is AWESOME! It is difficult for me to choose favorite songs on this CD but I managed to come up with my Absolute Favs:
"Hit a Muthafu**a", "3-6 In The Morning", "Anyone Out There", and "Weed Is Got Me High".

You are INSANE if you don't go get this CD. This is a GREAT CD to play at parties, in the car, and an especially a GREAT CD to listen to while you smoke weed (that is if you smoke weed).

If you like this CD, you have to check out:
